Couldn't expect Gillou to play well with that knee.

Tsonga has his road to the WTF all set up now. I doubt he'll struggle against Nadal/Robredo, and I give him good chances against Djokovic, who he probably gets to play in the semi. Once in the final he will be tough to beat.

Even if he makes it to the semis and gets beat by Djokovic he goes past Söderling in the race and will be the first alternate.

All this is of course based on Djokovic beating Söderling.

 If it wasn't in France, Simon would have probably retired or gave walkover.

Tsonga didn't even celebrate in his style.

Simon didn't want to w.o this one... now he has to rest his knee and take some holidays. Let's hope he'll be there for the AO!

TSONGA BONGA will be in the finals...... Simon was injured and could not even properly play. His return of Tsonga's serve was non-existent.

tennis won anyway - it's a breath of fresh air to watch aggressive player force the issue rather than disgusting pusher to retrieve all day...

Simug wouldn't of won even if his knee was fine, tennis was the winner like everyone has already stated.

Too happy to see Simon lose. Especially when he thinks he's got a relax energy saving game style that relieves alot of physical burden from his body :haha: Gille Simon = Cancer of tennis. Hurry up and get a knee reconstruction so you can retire from tennis. Another good day for tennis.

Tsonga is not London calibre in my view, not this year anyway. I hope Roddick is fit, and Davydenko and Verdasco take the last two places.

Gillou could've won if he wasn't injured. Hope Tsonga qualifies though for WTF.

Good result for tennis....really just a Heavyweight vs. Middleweight battle, Simon really had no chance.

Of course he had no chance when playing with one knee.
