Good news for Dutch tennis and the fans of Robin Haase.
He is back and played qualies in Jersey

d. Insausti 62 64
d. Willis 64 64

Hopefully he will stay healthy and play the tennis he did before.

pretty stupid, the tournament didn't want to give Robin Haase a wildcard not even voor qualies. In the draw he is a Q WC, at the latest moment he got it

No no, he got a WC for qualies, and qualified, he's just a qualifier.

Great to read Haase is back in action! :yeah:
I read that he will most probably make use of his protected ranking which will ensure him direct entry at the AO. Hope he stays fit and healthy. :)

Two Dutchies in one slam?
That's two more than I've grown used to.

What kind of an injury took him away for about a year?

Knee injury.

a poorly diagnosed and treated knee injury at that... it is a crime that he was away for that long for this injury... at that level it is a disgrace...

i spoke with Boggo after the match, he said Hasse played superb, hitting winners from all parts of the court, although Boggo wasn't at 100%, as he had a cold over the weekend, had asked his 1st match to be on Wednesday,. but for some reason the organiser denied his request (no idea why - they are playing other MD matches today ) but i think if Boggo had been fully fit Hasse may still have been too good from how he described it.
