Who is your pick to win this one?

I think Fed wins this in 2, Djokovic has had to really battle to stay alive the last 2 days, plus Fed has not lost a set against Djokovic in their last 2 matches.

No matter what happens, I am just glad to see 2 of my favourite players battling it out in the final. :)

It is gonna bi tremendously fantastic day for tennis and extraordinary celebration. Federer will win his 5X title. That would be so great for tennis. Yet another title for Fed and another fatty check deposited in swiss bank. I am gonna be so happy because he will win again and be even more richer because his $100 mill is nothing and he have two kids that need food.

Hating the rich. That's a new one.

not really, he is playing even better than he did in Rome and Miami, the difference is Fed now playing too good for Djokovic to handle.

I am hoping too. It would be fantastic day. But, if he lose, if he cry, in his home town, that would be really sad day. Unfair. It would be a tears of righteous soul carver.

It always depends on Nole, if he gets spirited and continues his fantastic tournament with a captivating win. I was hoping Nole would win this match up in US but he got cheated and unlucky so he may as well take the crown in Basel,Switzerland in his city and land.

Meh. I don't know what to predict. Fed's choked so many times versus Nole and vice versa. Roger has looked the more solid of the two, but he only got real competition today. Djokovic has won two tight matches which will do wonders to his confidence, I'm assuming.

Fed in 2. If it goes to a third I'm favouring Nole.

yes I watched it and he played better than Rome in both Cincy and USO, did you watch how good he was in Cincy SF? yet Fed outclassed him in the final, same story in USO.

Rafa and Fed are completely different players, have you seen how many people have done that to nadal since he returned from injury,Delpo,Cilic,Davydenko.Fed doesn't give you half the time to just set up and tee off on balls.Cincy-for the first set Djoko's movement was crap after playing late the night before and ridiculously early the next morning,I mean finishing at 8/9pm and playing 12.30 next day .Second set was good, fed was better in the crucial moments,USO was very good but he was also playing just as well in Rome just different surface

I think in Rome Djokovic played better than in Miami (goes for both players actually). But the truth is Fed was leading by a set and nearly two breaks in the second. What was impressive about Djokovic in that match wasn't his game - because he was nearly down and out - it was how he had a different mindset after the rain delay and he fought despite also being off his best.

Well, true but he also played some really nice shots in the fightback,I wouldn't say he played as impressive tennis in his comebacks over the last couple of days

I would. His win in Beijing was quite impressive. He won against guys who pushed him to raise his level. He also reached the Shanghai semi but just came up a bit short against a fresher Davydenko. He's now in the finals of Basel having played impressive tennis when the chips were down. It's not all about how you win, but it's about the win. I think Novak is in a better mental state than he was in Miami or Rome. He's coming off better results.

this is feds first tournament since USO, and he played under par guys. djokster played two tournaments more on the other side of the planet, and barely got through to the finals.
Im guessing tired and bruised novak to grab a set from fed, but the title stays home in yet another edgy match between the two.
sadly, I wont be able to watch it.

I hope Novak wins this one, but I voted for Fed. Even though in their last matches Djokovic was able to win and played some great tennis he seemed to fold in front of Fed in the crucial moments, like he somehow lost his confidence at winning him. I hope these last two matches give Novak the competitive and resilient mindset that he needs to beat Federer. The best final we could have hoped for anyway, just enjoy...

Novak was playing make-up with the New York crowd. That whole match was part of his PR campaign. When was the last time he comically ducked his head when his opponent was about to hit a smash?
