You're being harsh, don't you think,it's his 2d match since September:shrug: FlameOn 11-05-2009, 08:38 PM This might be a good chance for Verdasco finally to grab a win over a Top 5-er. Getta 11-05-2009, 08:38 PM a few of the scenes are still a little rusty. Certinfy 11-05-2009, 08:40 PM Entertaining match, and Mayer played great :yeah: Hope to see more of Mayer in the future, i like his game. Andi-M 11-05-2009, 08:40 PM At this rate he will have his ass handed to him by Montanes, but I remain hopeful that it was just a bad day. Mayer has lovely game though, played well. Clydey 11-05-2009, 08:41 PM Rusty as hell still. Hopefully he shakes it off in time for Paris. tennizen 11-05-2009, 08:41 PM Murray still playing passively most of the time.Allowed Mayer to dictate play Mayer has a pleasing game though and he played quite steadily:yeah: Burrow 11-05-2009, 08:44 PM What's with all this 'Mayer has a nice game' talk  Corey Feldman 11-05-2009, 08:45 PM What's with all this 'Mayer has a nice game' talk :lol:Murray playing so bad with his 20KPH groundies he makes any mug look good Horatio Caine 11-05-2009, 08:49 PM Murray playing so bad with his 20KPH groundies he makes any mug look good All the matches I have seen of him since the beginning of the European clay season (admittedly, no more than 6-8 matches, but on different surfaces) he has been predominantly 'pushing' the ball. He'll be going backwards next year unless he goes back to being a little more offensive. Orka_n 11-05-2009, 08:51 PM It may be because of a long break from matches. Still, Murray will be crushed in the WTF if he doesn't improve quickly. Noleta 11-05-2009, 08:54 PM Murray still playing passively most of the time.Allowed Mayer to dictate play Mayer has a pleasing game though and he played quite steadily:yeah: :unsure:That's his style:shrug: Andi-M 11-05-2009, 08:56 PM :unsure:That's his style:shrug: Kinda true. But a year ago he was an all-rounder recently he has become a predominant defender, taken a step back, imo. Noleta 11-05-2009, 09:11 PM Kinda true. But a year ago he was an all-rounder recently he has become a predominant defender, taken a step back, imo. Must be a reason for that:shrug: guga2120 11-05-2009, 09:13 PM He is nowhere near 100%. It makes no sense for him to even be playing. Sapeod 11-05-2009, 09:14 PM Murray should be ashamed to have lost a set to such a bad player. Get back on track, Andy, and fast. TMJordan 11-05-2009, 09:15 PM Davydenko is gonna pound him. Noleta 11-05-2009, 09:24 PM He is nowhere near 100%. It makes no sense for him to even be playing. That's if murray manages to reach the final Ilovetheblues_86 11-05-2009, 09:58 PM Murray being dictated by a clay courter indoors nothing more to say about him, just end this season. Mayer a clay courter?? He is 48-30 in hard courts, has won the canadian open as a jr and beat Querrey at 2005 uo jr. cocrcici 11-05-2009, 10:31 PM Go MURRALIEN:) roberthenman 11-05-2009, 10:40 PM well played Leito :yeah: Andy now take the title :rocker: rocketassist 11-06-2009, 12:29 AM Not interested in the slightest whether he wins this or not, he has absolutely fuck all to prove by doing so. It's a title and that's it. Sunset of Age 11-06-2009, 12:36 AM Well, eh... Muzza won. :o: I don't think he's anywhere near to his best yet, as this performace should tell. Corey Feldman 11-06-2009, 12:39 AM Murray still playing passively most of the time.Allowed Mayer to dictate play Mayer has a pleasing game though and he played quite steadily:yeah: :unsure:That's his style:shrug:his style is to push it around 4 or 5 shots, then maybe step into a BH he did nothing tonight, usual scampering around the court being made to look an utter clown by Mayer - a player who has been hammered indoors in the last month by Mathieu, Bellucci and Marach. Roddickominator 11-06-2009, 12:43 AM It looks like Mayer must have given Larry Stefanki a call, pushing Murray like this. Other players should take note. fast_clay 11-06-2009, 01:32 AM nah, just blowing out a few cobwebs here... get the pistons working ya know... no dramas... tennizen 11-06-2009, 01:48 AM his style is to push it around 4 or 5 shots, then maybe step into a BH he did nothing tonight, usual scampering around the court being made to look an utter clown by Mayer - a player who has been hammered indoors in the last month by Mathieu, Bellucci and Marach. Exactly. kutafon 11-06-2009, 02:29 AM expected :) Loko_Lindo 11-06-2009, 05:56 AM Another scintilating performance by Mugray. Retire now u clown :spit: Henry Chinaski 11-06-2009, 07:32 AM What's with all this 'Mayer has a nice game' talk  well I only saw small portions of the match but in that time mayer showed more touch and variety than at least 80% of the top 50 fast_clay 11-06-2009, 09:21 AM well I only saw small portions of the match but in that time mayer showed more touch and variety than at least 80% of the top 50 leo sayer mayer is someone in the top 100 i'd pay to watch... MariaV 11-06-2009, 09:30 AM I also quite liked Mayer's game. Michael for starting the thread! :yeah: ;) Oh, and Murray is clearly not 100% physically, he seemed to have some abdominal muscle problem? (Like Rafa after his comeback). Some light strain perhaps, or maybe he just had some discomfort, but he didn't call for a trainer. bjurra 11-06-2009, 10:34 AM Murray being dictated by a clay courter indoors nothing more to say about him, just end this season. You saw the match and you still think Mayer is a clay courter??? Maybe it is time for you to end your season. CooCooCachoo 11-06-2009, 12:18 PM Calling Mayer a pure clay courter is showing a lack of insight in the game. Corey Feldman 11-06-2009, 12:37 PM You saw the match and you still think Mayer is a clay courter??? Maybe it is time for you to end your season. Calling Mayer a pure clay courter is showing a lack of insight in the game. you're right, he's a world class indoor talent as those early losses to Bellucci, Mathieu and Marach in the last 3 events show Aces and Eights 11-06-2009, 01:15 PM Murray was awful in that second set especially, really deserved a bagel for being such a mug :o. Better up his game because if he loses this MM event, he might as well end his year now :wavey:. I blame that tool Corretja, wish Murray would sack this useless clown . CooCooCachoo 11-06-2009, 02:05 PM you're right, he's a world class indoor talent as those early losses to Bellucci, Mathieu and Marach in the last 3 events show I never said he is a "world class indoor talent"; I said he is not a claycourter. Look at his record, especially as a junior, and look at his game. Mayer is no Hernandez or Montañes  He comes a lot closer to someone like Cuevas, but I guess you would also consider him a clay courter for no good reason. Maybe it's time to start realizing that not everyone hailing from Latin America and Spain is a dirtballer pur sang.
