Ljubo was setpoint down on serve in both of the last sets, but let loose and fired away and made Stan serve it out on both occasions. On to Paris for Ivan, and the homecrowd gets more of Stan.

Bit surprised that Stan turned it around...didn't he get some trainer attention early on?

Should beat Nieminen next, if he is fit enough.

He really pissed me after match like this . Why he even went to Basel if he did not mean to play for real . In years like Ljubo is he don't need to tank like this ...

Stan was the man and this upset many gamblers.

Wawa FTW.

Any chance of this guy breaking into the the top 10 next year? He deserves it more than some of the people up there like Simon and Kollschriber.

It's more fair to say that Ljubo wasn't the man

I can't help but have a giggle or two at this post.

Wawrinka was in the top ten last year, neither Simon or Kohlschreiber are in the top ten right now and Kohlschreiber has never even been close to it. Wawrinka is actually ranked higher than him right now.

Me too  I left when he lost the tiebreak, and having had two medical times I tought he would lose it 7-6 6-2 or something but NO :yeah::bounce:
Hope the "injury" is not serious and he is able to beat Nieminen too :)Allezzzzz

1. Kohlschreiber is ranked 25, and is below Wawrinka.
2. He's already broken into the top 10.
3. No, he won't break back into it next year.

Doubt it, the current top 6-10 is too strong. Roddick, Davydenko, Verdasco, Tsonga, Sod. Even Gonzo can't get in the top 10.

There seems to be a big bracket just below these guys, competing for the 11-20 spots: Simon, Cilic, Steps, Boredo, Monf, Haas, Ferrer, Berdy, Hewitt, maybe Youzhny and Ljubo also now they're back showing some form. Wawrinka belongs in that bracket imo.

Congrats Wawa! Great turning around this match, I thought he was done after that first set and apparently was struggling with sore shoulders or something the like. :yeah:
I hope that physio can come over here and give me some treatment as well. ;) :)

+ 1. Top quality trolling/comedy. The nonsense-density of that poster's posts is just fantastic. :D
