It seems Muzza will concentrate on the Aussie this time

Dang, that Murray-Nadal match this year at Abu Dhabi was simply ridiculous for an exho

How about eating? Breathing ? not to mention anything else...

My take it would be having actually something to say, maybe... :)

He's also been on MTF for nearly 6 years

A: For money

Starting a year with another poor scheduling :fiery:

Andy Murray :yeah: Abu Dhabi was his best form in 09, maybe he'll save it for AO this time. very good decision.

Good move Andy. Don't waste energy on Abu Dhabi. Keep your energy up so you can win the Aus Open :yeah:

Then all of them will whine to the press the very next week about how long the season is...

You can say that again... ~sigh~...
What's going on with this fellow/his team???

It's OK, he can play a few matches. Especially when they're exos. He has not broken his leg or anything like that.

Why the BOTH of them, really... :smash:
Ah, my fav players are genuine Money Whores. How nice to see this happening once again. Meh.
If anything, please gentlemen, SHUT UP about the schedule being too harsh. You're doing it to yourselves, idiots.

Muzza Wuzza. Good decision, mate! :yeah:

Roger takes these exos in a dead serious fashion - wearing his Rolex watch and swirling the racket like never before.

They're both very charitable. I'm sure the money won't go to waste. :p ;)

I'm pretty sure Raf doesn't take it all too seriously either, but then again - why risking injuries and discomfort for such a heap of cash when you already have so much???

Maybe to promote tennis in the Middle East even further and be available for the fans over there. :spit:

Guess so, but then again...
I don't think it's worth the while. Anyhow, don't mind me. I am anti-commercialism and marketing business, I guess it's just me.

As long as these guys SHUT UP about the ATP schedule being too harsh, too painful, to demanding etc., let them play any an exo where they feel like doing. But don't complain about injuries, being tired, etc. thereafter, even less. :)

When did they (Nadal and Federer) complain about the schedule?

I'll need some time to dig up all of those complaints, but yes, both of them did, plenty of times.

Muzza Wuzza. Good decision, mate! :yeah:It's a glorified practice session for AO. What's the big deal. Looking at the players who are scheduled for this 'exho', who, besides Nadal has complained about the schedule?

I don't think an exo at the beginning of the year would be the punishing factor for the rest of the year though. So the complaining would be about the mandatory tournaments being played too late in the year or something of the like. I can't believe that any of these players in the exo would go crazy about winning these matches and put themselves at great risk by clowning it (like Monfils sometimes does when he dives). My personal opinion is that a 3 day exo is just that. The money part of it is certainly a factor but they also want match fitness after the break I guess - but they won't kill themselves to win it as I said basing this on what I've seen in the past with exos.

Fed did as well on several occasions. Like I said, no time to dig up the references right now...

I know that, and I acknowledge the money & fan factor being an important one. Still, that doesn't necessarily mean I have to like the fact of them playing exho's, no?

I'm cool with it all, as long as I never again thereafter hear any of the exo players complain about the schedule being too demanding. ;)

Doha and the Aussie tournaments start on Jan 4. I don't see how this is really cutting into the players off season.

It isn't IMO. That's at the very end of the off season. The players still have around a month/3 weeks to reast before that.
