Why such a slow court?????

Why not just keep the court used for the TMC but change the words on the baseline?

ATP again fix something that isn't broken.

It's really disgrace for ATP doing that . The same story is with Bercy , clays is fast for these two indoor tournaments . Gonzo's biggest forhend looks like average shot on this surfaces . Tragic thing for tennis .

Cos you need more than one court for a masters, and Greenset isn't a good pro-level surface for outdoors events (+ they already had Decoturf outdoors so it was the logical choice).

Shanghai TMC wasn't quick by any stretch of the imagination btw, wasn't even Confort, it was GrandPrix afaicr.

Homogenization at its finest.

Henman's 2003 Paris win was on Sky Sports Classics then..fast court, attacking tennis, great touch. Paris-Bercy's court now is a slow, sticky pile of shit.

Truly pathetic what a joke the ATP has become, sucking on Nadull's balls for him to win six fluke grand slams on courts slower then ass. The ATP has become a moonballer/pusher's paradise. What a joke.

I have to reevaluate my standpoint about this after seeing how Grandstand plays. It's more sticky and coarse than the previous TMC courts, making it difficult to shoot through the court. On to inspect the Stadium now.

We can compile a list of fast outdoor hardcourts. What comes to my mind right now are events such as...

Dubai, Cincinatti, US Open, Beijing and Tokyo. I think four of those have DecoTurf courts. I'm not sure what surface Tokyo use.

I need to see some action from Washington next year then. However, about Dubai, another thing I like about it is the low bounce. Courts like Miami and IW where the ball just stops and sit up rather than skid at the point of impact make me cringe.
