How many Slams do you have to win before you can get respect around here?

Obviously at least one more than however many Nadal has won! :tape:

I think a better idea would be to post 1-season wonders; a list of players who just had one really good season but did little appart from that.

Players that come to mind are:
Rainer Schuettler - year-end rank in 2003 was 6, next best year-end rank was 33
Magnus Norman - year-end rank in 2000 was 4, next best year-end rank was 15
Jonas Bjorkman - year-end rank in 1997 was 4, next best year-end rank was 24

I suppose this could win "Most Pointless Thread of the Day".

Your avatar pic of Roddick with the thumbs up is so appropriate for this, the sarcastic expression of achievement.

Ah yes. As he won 3 RGs I forgot him and was looking for someone who won two different slams at least but won 3 overall.

Asuming a Nadal victory tonight, Murray and Soderling have just invented a new catagory, 2 final wonders :worship:

You forgot Yevgeny Kafelnikov.

As for the 3 slam wonders, Guga, Arthur Ashe, and Jan Kodes.

Not really. Todd Martin, Cedric Pioline, Miroslav Mecir, Alex Corretja, Kevin Curren, Mark Philippoussis, and Steve Denton have all also make two finals without winning.

Tony Roche is a 3 final wonder :yeah:

Well, only Johan Kriek didn't make at least one more slam final from all the 2 slam wonders.

I'm a zero slam wonder. :wavey:

At least you can't be critizised..the more slams you win to a point, the more of a wonder, and therefore a boofhead you become :wavey:

Yeah but who is the ultimate example of a 2 slam wonder?

Kriek. Mediocre player who won when no top star was around.
Krieg won some tournaments elsewhere but never was a real top star.

It's just that the slams are not equal.
So Kriek could win something.
