Barcelona to host Davis Cup Final

The Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona will be the venue where the final of the Davis Cup (Spain-Czech Republic) will be played. The chosen surface is carpet. Sorry, red clay. The Sant Jordi already hosted the 2000 Final against Australia and has a capacity of 17,200 spectators.

Valencia was the other candidate, but we don't have a proper indoor arena...

Madrid was a big no no no no and the rest of cities don't really have a big enough indoor arena, so it was NID

I will be there during that time! So exciting- in theory. How much does it cost, usually, for a ticket to the final? If it's over 20 euro it's a sad, sad day for me.

Madrid is a mug city home of mugs (Lalo, Verdáqueasco , Real Mugdrid , Patético de Madrid)

20 Euro :D For 20 Euro you could buy 2 sandwiches when I went for Davis Cup match Spain-Isreal.
The cheapest ticket for all 3 days will be around 150 Euro.

Ah well, it was not meant to be... I wish I could go to the Valencia tourney (12 euros!) but I'll be vacationing elsewhere. I'll just have to make do with going to cheap tournies in the US.

So what is the surface eventually? Carpet or indoor clay?
