Wow, what a scoreline! Didn't see anything of the match, but must be quite a good performance. Not a single bp faced against a guy on good form. Very nice Djoko!

Novak was in full control of the match. He outplayed Viktor, especially at the net (Todd's work is showing signs). Let's hope he can continue with this play against a red hot Verdasco!

Verdasco was also red hot at the US Open, and we know what happened then...

But you're right, Djoko has to play well.

Verdasco was injured at the US Open! Nole needs to step it up and apply controlled aggression to keep Verdasco in check>

djoker almost always plays well against guys he is friends with. he served 49 per cent and still faced zero break points. troicki more or less sucked.

There's the problem with Troicki's game: against top quality defence he simply can't hit through them, except on a really quick court. What works on Bangkok indoors won't work on a cold/damp slower outdoors court, but he didn't make any real attempt at a change up.

Djoko looked very impressive, and will likely beat Verdasco next, then face Toad in the semis.

Q: Giving that you didn’t perform quite well with the matches against Nadal, Federer, and Murray, so your success actually depends on how you will play against them in the next year. How do you describe your matches with them this year and how do you plan to beat them in the next year?

A: Your approach needs to change year after year in the tournament. I’ve made changes that kept my mind off the court. In the late stage of the year, I was not happy with my performances in the grand slams, losing to those guys you mentioned. I dropped the ranking and they played very well. I can’t give credit to that. It’s good for tennis to have a group of good players in the major events. As for my case, I have to step up more in the later events like Davis in order to claim higher points for the rankings next year.

These guys who asking these questions doest know nothing and it seems that djokovic doesnt even remember anymore which guys hes lost grandslams

Guaranteed to be number 3 as well with Murray pulling out of shangai, falling into place nicely for Novak

he's got the natural power but he hits with too much spin. needs to hit flatter if he's gonna bash his way through the better defences.

haven't seen VT play for quite a while so no idea if this is still the case

These two always seem to produce comical matches, their Umag one a few years back was absolutely hilarious, one of the funniest tanks ever.

that was the 7th bagel Troicki has received this year. Wonder who has received the most...

tipsy has 6. could get interesting in the battle for serb bagel number 1.

"Bagel Boy" Rochus only has 5 just to put these figures into perspective
