Too good, Kubot. Stefanki simply isn't an astute enough tactician to come up with a gameplan to beat this giant of a player. Maybe Stefanki should tell Roddick to be more aggressive and remind him that he'll never amount to anything unless he's proactive?

His serves weren't placed very well. He was serving as hard and as consistently as ever. A lot of them were very much within reach, though.

Kubot (already finalist in Belgrade where, if I remember, Djokovic had a lot of difficulty to beat him in the final) is now ranked 100 in the Race.

This win should give Qbot something like 105-110th place in the rankings. Last year's cutoff for AO was #104. Maybe a first direct entry for Luke for GS ? Till the end of the year he only has QF in Helsinki to defend, in the other tourneys he was losing in 1st rounds.....

Kubot is a good player and one of the best outside top 100 right now, thats what matters. Poland will have good players if they work hard. They have same potentials as Croatia, Czech, Slovakia, Serbia, and its a 2x bigger country, so you "show the map" logic doesnīt work.

San Francisco on a map? haha. Listen. Poland, dragons, UFOs, and all these mythical things might exist but in reality, it ain't matter if you are No.1 or No. 0 from Poland, Roddick had no business losing to this guy who was holding the racket for the first time in his life or so it seemed. Typical of the ignorant type of American that makes your whole country look bad. Self righteous, self important, best country in the world, can't find any other country on the map, who cares nothing exists outside the American border

Why?:)
I guess I've never really been too big on supporting players that dominate the tour.

As for Roddick he's very much the odd one out in my sig. All the rest of the players I support are shotmakers, risktakers. Roddick on the other hand comes up with rather boring matches 90% of the time.

Roddick and Delpo? Pathetic, man, are you serious?

Roddick was far more hated than Djokovic and Nadal in the past here in MTF. :wavey:

Fantastic performance from Kubot.

I'm shocked!
