Oh there's a stream for Tokyo?

Anyways he's probably still mentally tired from winning USO. And who can blame him?

Match is over, delpo cant do anything because he doesnt feel well...but its professional level, when youre ill you cant obviously play against these guys

It's a pity that because people will no doubt pay him out if he retires that he's got to finish when (obviously) feeling ill.

Roger-Vasselin d. del Potro 6-4 6-4

You don't go out and play. One idiots criticise retirements because of illness as a sign of weakness.

I didn't know he was ill, at least he didn't retire for the fans, and to not deny Vasselin his victory.

anyway, idiots criticise everything

if he doesn't go on court,

if he goes on court and plays badly,

or if he goes on court and retires.

the 3 situations will be criticised by idiots.

they also criticise when the player plays and wins but makes a speech they don't like !

Idiots criticise everything

I think JMDP doesn't give a shit about these idiots, but at least for the public who was there, he made the effort to play a match.

That's a deserving effort :yeah:

true, I just wanted to say that I do understand retirements. Players are not beyond normal people, they do catch colds or stomach-bugs, and I just feel it is better for them not to play on such occasions.

yes I understand.

it's a personal decision, and we don't know everything (for instance maybe he expected to be better but realized on court it was not the case), it's always impossible to judge such decisions

I thought that with a special thread for live scoring and commentary, the prohibition against live scores elsewhere was going to be strictly enforced?

Edouard

Obviously he would never have beaten a fit JMDP, but it's still a nice accomplishment :D Kudos to JMDP for not retiring though; he showed great character.

And :spit: @ thread starter. Edouardo-Vasselin? Showing some lack of tennis knowledge too, as Doud's father was quite a well-known tennis player back in his days.
