:yeah: Allez. Not as comfortable as you'd expect, but onwards to Isner/Troicki in the semi. I'm thinking Isner and time to beat a big server

Chiudinelli played well this week.

A good match overall. Chiudi was fighting with all he had throughout and Tsonga was forced to raise his level when it mattered (that first game in the 3rd had it all). Entertaining stuff.

Tsonga go for the title. :yeah:

Chiudinelli's brave and offensive play was rewarded in the 1st set tie-break. It was Tsonga's 5th straight tie-break set. In the next two sets Tsonga broke opponent's serve early and held his service games. Marco should reach highest position in career next week.

Yay. But Tsonga had to work really hard for this.

Chiudinelli played very well. Weird that he's starting to play well this late in his career!

Anyway, well done Jo! :clap2: Now, get the title!

It was pleasure to watch this game agressive as hell Chiudinelli's s&v was great and he won first set, second set still at high level one break and it was decider in third at this set all for me was good from both sides but it was really a pity for Chiudi for losing first game in third and @ Tsonga *5/4 it was one BP chance but in overall it was the best Chiudi's week in this year or even in his career.

Chiudis in Monday could be in first #100.

Allez Marco!

Marco :o. Had a lot of chances when Tsonga charged brainlessly towards the net many many times ...

Again, Tsonga could have won so much easier. Has to do better in SF...

Chiudinelli is having a great run right now, he can close into the top 100 with this level :)

Chiudinelli should already be very near to top-100 on monday.

And he's number 83 in the Race.

I would like to see him playing : I've never seen him

he had break point to come back to 5-5 in the final game.

Wait is this the guy that Davydeko beat at the USO this year? Didn't think he was that good

Aww, Marco came so close :sobbing: But he's playing really well and seems to be healthy, so it's all good. Great week in Bangkok

Marco has suffered from a lot of recurrent injuries over the year. Everytime he was on his way up and seemed promising to reach the Top 100, and then the injuries would set in. He was still in Futures in November of last year. It's his first complete season in quite some time, so it's great to see. Too bad he just came short of qualifying for Wimbledon. He was so close and deserved the win over Falla, but in the end he was not fit enough and bowed out.

Yes.

The 4-6 5-7 5-7 scoreline against Davydenko was not bad at all. And you need to factor in the game styles. Marco is not likely to do well against someone like Davydenko, who leaves very little margin for error and is borderline machine-like in the way he plays, whereas someone like Tsonga leaves him for room to manoeuvre.

Chiudinelli takes some strenght from Federer´s childhood friendship.
If he had gone to Swiss tennis training center with his friend he could have become more independant and developed better.
Dangerous player in hards.

Marco trained with Roger during the US Open series, maybe that's why he got a lot of confidence back and good results, they have always been good friends and is good to see them supporting each other :)

Wow, this has been a tough tournament for Tsonga. Second time that he's been pushed to 3 sets.
