Fine effort by Potato in the 2nd set. Managed 4 from 16 service points :-)

Good win for Santoro, Potito has been in solid form but that was on clay, hopefully he just keeps winning the odd hard court match to stabilise his ranking and push on when clay comes around next. Anyway Santoro now faces Dabydenko.

Certainly hope so, but think it's impossible. Never won a set against Davy and had some big beatings against him...

I love Fabrice, but if you get bagelled by Santoro, you need to rethink your chosen profession.

so who said that potito can play well on hard after this zverev match?
shows what a disgraceful player zverev is

Zverev :worship::worship::worship::worship::worship:

Worst player ever, unfit, no braincells at all, tall player no big serve, only lefty who can not use the lefty playstyle to his favour...

I like Starace on clay, but once i saw him play Tomas Cakl, on a fast indoor court in Zagreb live, he was like a sumofihter trying to compete in step dancing, no clue how to play on fast courts, he was sliding, footwork disastrous...

No wonder he got bageled by the magician, Zverev is a mistery, no not really, once a useless player, always a useless player..

:lol: Bagelled by Santoro...I like him but he's not the type to give out bagels.

Of course I don't think he has anything to bother Davydenko with

He bagelled Bjorkman last year in Miami :-)

Of course I don't think he has anything to bother Davydenko with

5-0 h2h, 11 sets to none. Not likely to be terribly close :-)

Santoro always does well at Newport, he really likes this tournament. I hope he gets a night match at the Open, I'd like to see a good farewell match for him. :)

That he is. But I don't think he's quite the stud at New Haven. But yes somehow it seems fitting that Santoro needs to play Federer in a night match...they've drawn each other a lot at majors and even if it's never terribly close it is quite entertaining.

hell yeah, santoro needs to draw a good draw and then get a night match. i tell you, that thing would be fucking sold out. hope he can play someone and have it be entertaining. all i have is hope though. :(

This match was funny too. Santoro went up 4-1* in the first, then was down 4-5*. Starace blew that game and lost another 8 in a row. Potito destroyed his racquet after losing the first. Keep it going Fabrice! Keep defying age!
