Good for Lleyton! I wish MS hadn't blown it at Wimbledon and he would have one too.

its good for him, he has been trying hard this year, but i don't expect him to go on a tear at the open. if he makes round 3 i'll be happy.

Yeah, I expect no more from him than to simply live up to his seeding.

I didn't doubt the Aussie battler would be back in the top 30. Don't think he'll see the top 10 again, but to come back like this is to be applauded. :bigclap:

LOL! That's so true!

I'm not sure if having a 25-32 seed is better for Lleyton than not being seeded at all. 25-32 seeds play the 1-8 seeds in the 3rd round and with the top 6 all super dangerous I don't like those odds. Whereas unseeded players only have a 50% chance (assuming results to seeding) of having to play a top 8 seed before the 4th round.

I warned everyone!! Hewitt's seeding may have gotten him good first and second round matches but he's got Federer in the 3rd round!

Yeah, Hewitt's draws always suck for Grand Slams, but this is a step towards improving his seed for the future. It would be better for him to improve his seed than live outside the top 32, obviously.

 Hewitt would've been better off unseeded, or maybe not because he's getting some horrible draws. At the AO, if he had beaten Gonzalez he would've faced Nadal in the 3rd round. At RG he did face Nadal in the 3rd round. And Wimbledon he would've faced Nadal in the 2nd round if Nadal had played the tournament. And now he's got Federer in the 3rd round if he gets there.
