ATP New Haven 09 - 1R - J.Tipsarevic def F.Fognini 7-5 2-0 ret

If somebody told me this would end on a retirement i would have thought Fognini had won, not sure whats a matter with Fabio, he was a break up early but allowed Tispy back in and then called it a day when immediatley broken in the 2nd Set. Anyone know the injury :confused:

Finally a win. Tipsy was down 5-3 in the first, won 5 straight, then Fabio quit.

Fognini twisted his knee awkwardly in a long rally in the first game of the second set. He tried playing, but felt pain in the knee and decided to stop as a precaution. After the match he said it was not serious and he expected to be fully fit next week.
