Do ATP players get along well?

Or are there feuds amongst each other, animosity towards other players behind the scenes? Because among the WTA players, it's rare to find good relationships between them. I know the French guys get along well, so do the Americans.

I would belive they do. Just watching them at practice demonstrates that they do. There are of course a few players who don't like eachother (rafa and Soderling for example), but most act pretty nicely towards eachother:)

i think most of them do get along well, but there are some exceptions.

most notable ones are: nadal/soderling [wimbledon 2007 where soderling was mocking nadal by picking his butt and now french open this year where nadal finally lost and to soderling too] as well as blake/gonzalez [olympics incident from last year].

theyre the only ones i can think of.

Do people get along well? No. Therefore...

they get along on a superficial level, look at the way Rafa made Federer cry.He doesnt care about him or the way Roddick scratches his nuts right after his opponents double fault.Haas is always cursing f bombs and pricks like PAVEL refuse to shake their opponents hands. Its a dog eat dog world on tour each man for himself..

I think Roger is sick to defend Rafa, while Rafa still got no balls to take on his rank.

Q. Rafa said that you’re an obvious favorite for the US Open. Do you agree with that?

ROGER FEDERER: Well, it seems like he’s never the favorite, so I guess I ? you know, I’ll definitely have a shot, you know, after winning five times, but so has he. He’s only lost a handful of matches this year.

Many other guys like Murray and Djokovic have been up there in the past in the finals. Then the other guys right behind them, Del Potro and stuff, they also have changes.

But, yeah, I think definitely the top few guys have the best chance.

I like his response to this. Nadal has never been favorite and never wants the pressure.

Cañas and Del Potro don't seem to have any issues with Hewitt.

He has acted like a brat on occasion, no doubt about it, but he's certainly matured with age (fancy that!).

The argentine thing is just Lleyton and Nalbandian at each other's throats.

Kind of like Del Potro and Murray; cept the new hatred doesn't have that kind of banter cause they know better >>;

I´m sure they get along quite well in general, but at the same time I´d imagine it´s difficult to form real friendships in such a competitive atmosphere.

Nadal is usually telling Söderling how he admire Viking mitology and swedish rock while Söderling says he want to go with Nadal to Mallorca beaches. In the next locker room, Koellerer entertains with ball acrobacies king Oscar while Paul Henri Mathieu discuss how to not lose a match when winning with Berdych.

Pretty much that...Soderling used as much as he could to try to steal the match from Nadal and it almost worked at Wimbledon. Soderling didn't like Nadal's use of too much time between points and of course the picking of the buttocks.

Hewitt got along with Gaudio well didn't he? Of course he and Nalbandian or Chela

I don't imagine that players who are directly competing for the biggest prizes(slams, masters) get along too well. The reason Fed can get along so well with Wawrinka is because Stan isn't any threat to him. You will never see Fed palling around with Djokovic or Murray. I can imagine by 2012 Federer would get along well with anyone as he won't care too much by then.

one of the more notable amicable realtionships in recent times was that of Federer and young and talented Gasquet, conveniently nick-named "baby Federer". most pleasant of words were exchanged between the two, and many wondered how come was it even possible that a GOAT in the making was to be so well-leaned towards a young threat... it turned out, that the ever precise Swiss lord was customary discerning in his judgement that in fact there was to be no danger from the overly hyped star. as ever, it is just a matter of which buttons to push.

two players that have never really gotten along are Gaudio and Coria and it wasn't because of the RG final, I remember Hamburg 2003, very very bad vibes between the two of them

AFAIK, Roger gets along well with people of his own generation like Safin or Roddick

@ ^^^ Those two never saw eye to eye, even before that. Did you happen to see the DC earlier this year? Both of them were there, and never acknowledged each other.

I would take the alleged détente that exists between the two now with a grain of salt. It's not what I heard in springtime.

Cañas and Del Potro don't seem to have any issues with Hewitt.

He has acted like a brat on occasion, no doubt about it, but he's certainly matured with age (fancy that!).

Never heard anything about either of those two- Wasn't the heat only between Nalbandian/Chela and Hewitt? Plus Coria, I suppose, but only on court...
