Del Potro is definitely new GOAT

Who can compete with that display of consistency, power, shot selection, movement, and serve? Maybe Murray at his best.

JMDP is the next Seles and Murray will be his Graf- lucky to win at Wimbledon and bridesmaid elsewhere.

Who contends? :D

Mug Pony is a mug of the highest order and the universe can't remain stable when matches between top tier mugs like him take place. For every hour when such a match is occurring, a supermassive black hole will spontaneously appear, hastening the end of the universe.

Don't piss on my art.

Every time I see someone call JMDP "one-dimensional" I know I can smell a h8ter. They're just jealous of the skills.

Just like Federer when he was his age. Fed was almost 22 when he won Wimbledon 2003.

No seriously. This was preordained. Destined. Because I just realized something: at the Slams in 2007 and in appropriate procession, he lost in straight sets to Nadal at the French, Federer at Wimbledon, and Djokovic at the US Open. Even back then in 2007, when he was a shadow of what he is today, it took the masters on each of their special surfaces to defeat JMDP.

Del-pony is really coming of age. I think he might just be ready to win a major. I think next year might just be known as Del-pony's year.

It will be, and likely the year after that. Get used to seeing this guy's name next to a little number 1 on your TVs.

He was never a MUG to me. But he did go from being a loser to a winner very quickly last spring into summer. Once you get a feel of winning as he did at those MM events, he never want to lose it. Now he's worked incredibly incredibly hard and practiced and been humble and yes, he is teetering on the edge of GOAT category.

Spot on.

3 TMS semis, 1 GS semi, 3 MM titles the last 2 years. Mind-blowing.

Greatest of all time, no doubt.

Everyone in the top 10 has a better resumé? Irrelevant!

I think he will have a 4 cgs and 3 Golden grand slams and about 30 GS before he retires. He will not lose a match after his 21 birthday
