Djokovic takes this. Roddick's serve is just not there, either because he isn't executing it or the super slow court just won't let it fly.

You actually far exceed Gu in the amount of players you find worth only of ridicule, which needless to say is a mega accomplishment. Feel any more important after each piece of drivel?

Ouf, tough call.
Two days ago I wouldn't have given a penny for Djokovic' chances. After having watched him and Roddick today, I'd say it's a toss-up, could go either way, very much depending on Djokovic rather than on Roddick.
If Djoko keeps his cool and is physically okay, I give him the edge. Djok in three.

Roddick to win just to anger the haters more xDDD

It's a perfect circle:

-Andy's draw is announced
-Andy automatically loses to every player in his draw according to "objective" predictions
-Andy wins
-Andy's opponent fucking sucked

But for Verdasco, he didn't suck at all. He was doing awesome.

It'll be a tough match, but I think Roddick can pull through. Unofortunately, unless Andy can raise his game the SF will really be as far as he gets.

Novak looks confident, always dangerous when he's relaxed.

Sampras won 14 Slams hitting mainly volley winners and the occasional groundstroke winner.:p Roddick mentioned the balls are slower and his serve is awol. I would tip Roddick in 3 although wouldn't be too shocked if Nole pulled through.

Congrats Andy!

On to Nole, but I have a strange feeling Nole is on for REVENGE!!!!!!!!!!!!Should be interesting. Even though the schedule for tomorrow is not out yet, I already know he is playing at 1:00 pm Canada time, 7:00pm Europian-Serbian time! How do I know? Because in the US they already have the match scheduled on ESPN tomorrow at 1:00pm! Of course it is what US and ESPN wants and of course what RODICK wants! Rodick is again counting on Nole's meltdown in the heat on 90+ F (it is very hot in the US and North America/Canada)!!!!!!!!!! In other words, he is counting on the AO Repeat scenario!!!!!!! I expect Nole to come out firing on all cylinders and "Kick some serious B_ _T!" If Andy wins, that will definately prove how bad Nole is and not so much how Good Andy is!!!!

No. It's because ESPN is very in love with Roddick and ESPN wants to put the show in prime time.

Coverage for Rogers Cup is from 1-5pm et and 7-9pm et

IMO Djokovic something like 6-3 7-6. Roddick plays lately too many matches involving a tie-break set what favours D'Joke in a crucial moment.

Vida
08-14-2009, 02:55 AM
if djoker shows up in one of those chicken editions he is prone to lately, than he will get roasted in a quick 2,3 type of a match. otherwise, roddick gets blown away by what is overall a better, more loaded player.

looking at their form, and in particular how djoker plays against confident players recently, this one goes to the American.

MacTheKnife
08-14-2009, 03:04 AM
Roddick's won the last 2 of 3 all on HCs, 2 of them this year. Roddick is not completely confident yet after that Wimby loss, but D-joks not his best either. All adds up to Roddick in a close one.

Djokovic was incredibly unimpressive against Youzhny in his 3r match. Roddick needs to work out the kinks on his serve and he should ride it to a fairly easy straight sets win. Roddick was hitting harder, more accurately and defending better than Novak did if you compare their previous matches.

I already look forward to the warm hug up at the net after this one.

They really need to settle it in the bedroom. Much hotter than Federer-and-Nadal Harlequin Romances.

I'll guess Roddick takes this one, but form isn't super reliable across the board with the remaining players, since this is still early in the season.

Could this be a match to decide the world #4?

Right now, I think that if Novak doesn't win this match, he's kinda out of the big four for now and Delpo and Roddick take his place, pushing him to #6. Right now, yeah, he's doing alright, but the deeper he goes even he realize that alright doesn't cut it.

Novak is the one most in danger of falling, points or not. DP's much more comfortable in the hard courts, I feel, and Andy's just glad he's playing good at all xD Novak needs a real goal here.
