Just came back from site, some results.

Not a good match, except from the end. Any good player good've beaten either today. Kavcic didnt do much, it was Puerta's to win or lose. The crowd was more for Kavic than for Puerta, which I found very strange.

Aranguren def. Hocevar 6/2 7/6

Saw the second set, great match. Had never seen them play, I liked Aranguren a lot, good (but inconsistent) serve, and deep hitting :yeah: Hocevar was ok, he had a nice flat FH, would like to see him play on hard. The difference, I believe, was that Aranguren just knew his claycourt better

Delgado/Prieto def. Hidalgo/Lapentti 6/4 6/4

Decent doubles match. Hidalgo is too much unexperienced, otherwise the ecuatorians would've won. Neither of them played great, but there was somenice shotmaking, specially from Lapentti and Prieto. Delgado had some UE from the baseline that really surprised me.

Got to see the second set. Mini Cuevas is a very good player, plays a lot like his brother. He has a worse serve, and what in time will become a better FH imo. 4 DF in the deuce when serving 3-3 in the second set :tape:, that could have changed the game. Machi was ok, but needs to play a lot better to win the whole thing.

Pablo is in top form, no doubt about it, yes the matchup was in his side since Polansky is mediocre on clay, but still. His serve isn't there yet (he made a DF on Polansky only bp), but he's hitting the FH better than ever. Some nice volleying too.
Polansky served pretty good acutally, but still got broken a lot, the umpire might had been a little unfair, but didnt change the match.
The atmosphere was great and the court crowded at expected. It probably will be that way during the whole tournament.
