Wawrinka is probaly the biggest joke out of anyone. Can't even beat a mug at home on his favorite surface? What a joke. I don't know why so many people like him. He really does suck.

Huge for Thomaz after being one point away of losing in the first round.

Two Brazilians at the QF of an ATP, that's not something you will see veryday

Thomaz :) enjoy the moment.

Certainly not a joke, and just because you're on a preferred surface at home does not automatically warrant a victory for a player. From what I saw, Bellucci served pretty well and seems to strike well off his forehand. He can be dangerous when he's playing well and such was the case today. Also, remember clay is Bellucci's favorite surface too.

Wawrinka's ranking HAS slipped this year, but I think it's partly because he might have had more favorable draws last year - he really is a better player this season than in previous seasons. He's improved his served quite a bit, and his forehand can be a liability with the UEs but it also can be a powerful shot (Gilbert/Cahill believe he hits it harder than possibly anyone else on tour, and I wouldn't disagree). He is mentally stronger than before, although I agree he needs to improve it on his opponents' break points and his backhand has always been renowned.

He's played some of the most exciting matches this year too: the DC matches, vs. Djokovic at IW, vs. Nadal at Miami, vs. Murray at Wimbledon, and had his first official win over Federer in the spring.

THAT's why people like him.

Thomaz Bellucci is one fo the most irregular players I have seen, a real ballbasher. The thing is when he is hitting on the court he can put anyone on deffense, running for their lives. His Ball weight outstanding. So that is a differencial, even though he is one of the most irregular players out there. The Serve is top notch as well.

He trew wawrinka off his game. The swiss didn`t feel the ball on his string, merritt to bellucci.

Bellucci is still a player under development, he is 21 years old. He is on and off trough out the year. But I think when he settles down, he can do damage.

Lol he is not fucking shit, and I wont continue to argue the point. It's clear a lot of people here try to argue without an actual, well.... argument. It never ceases to amaze me the lack of insight some people employ.

Wawrinka is a totally deserved top 20 player. You win some, you lose some. Today he lost, and to a player who many people believe shows a lot of promise.

A bit of a match-up issue for Stan the Man today. Nevertheless, it has been a disappointingly uneventful last month for him. Will need to pull his socks up if he is to challenge for year-end top 20, though. Winning a few matches in the Canada/Cincy Masters would be a good way to start.
