:hearts: Was serving for the match at 5-1 in the 2nd and lost it. Oh well, a win is a win i suppose, though im sure he'd have been happier after a 6-3, 6-1 win.

Then he got broken at 5-1 in the last again after having 2 MPs.

:o What an epic choke in the 2nd Chardy. :tape: Glad he got it together for the 3rd set...but please don't choke like that again Jeremy. :help:

Allez :rocker2: :p

Yeah, a win is a win, and semi-choke is forgotten quickly...

After he lost the service to "make" it 5-2* in third I thought: "You are competing for the choke of the day Jeremy, are you?" Phew.... glad he won it though.

One of the biggest "winning chokes" ever. :spit:
Do you imagine if he would lose the third set from 5-1 up too? Even PHM can't beat that. :)

Jeremy tried to choke but he finally held serve. He was up 5-1 in the second as well as 5-0 in the third:lol:

He has got Andreev next, who has looked flawless this tourney:eek:

Good win for Jeremy despite his blip but lets face it Youzhny is nowhere near the player that he used to be

The thing that impresses me about Chardy is he no longer loses these types of matches. Such a concentration wobble against a lesser guy even a year ago, and he'd have been toast. Now he grinds out the win, and his record this year is excellent, ultra solid.

Well said. :yeah: He was choking away the 3rd set against Hanescu in the Stuttgart final, but somehow managed to stop the rot and served for the championship with a love game. Sometimes you gotta win ugly, and I think he's found a way to do so against the guys he should beat.
