Only saw the 2nd set.

Davydenko really bossed him in the 2nd set, pouncing on any oppourtunity.

:worship: Some nice shot making by both, though PHM was having more and more trouble handling the clean striking machine towards the end. Perhaps if he tried to mix in more well-prepared approaches, followed by a good volley, as in one of the last games, it would be closer.

Niko :yeah: He's back.

Daveydenko played more aggressivly, and better on the big points. I was surprised by how easily he pushed PHM around. Good week for PHM though.

Kolya

The trophy is a symbol for the harbour/sea which is important to Hamburg and it should express that this tournament is just as much of a piece of the city as the harbour. It's the "fan" (-> marine propelling screw) of a ship's engine.

An expected result. I enjoy watching Davydenko when he is playing well. Davydenko is a poor man's Agassi but a very good copy.

Davydenko in the mix for a top 8 year end finish? Could be 6 players fighting for last 2 places.

He should do, he's too good not to and any of the other big three besides Federer will not want to face him because he can beat them on the hardcourts.

Yup. On top of that, Simon about to plummet, and Tsonga has to defend Paris points.

Davydenko played really well in this match, an improvement on the more erratic semi-final performance against Ferrer. His down-the-line shots on both sides were working perfectly. He seemed really happy in the trophy presentation as well. Great to see.

Seen the names of the players, this title was for 3: Soderling, Ferrer, Davydenko.

Proud that it's in the hands of Niko: he deserves it.
He has honoured the name of the tournament playing every match really well!!
