Exciting shotmaking from Davydenko at times, but Ferrer didn't have quite enough to take a set. Excellent tiebreaker for Nikolay as well :)

Denko played some great attacking tennis, some lovely dropshots there, smashes, balls painting the lines, crosscourt winners... :bowdown:

Great match from both. It was not a choke by David, Kolya played excellent these important games.

Davydenko now 20-4 career in clay matches against opponents of similar ability (and 2 of the losses were retirements).

After watching the USO Series, this match looked like the most grinding I have ever seen in my life!

How about you actually watch these matches before you negate them. I saw 2 brilliant grinders whaling the ball crosscourt, down the line almost everytime in any situation. It is great tennis to watch when you have people who aren't the most powerful but make-up for it with brilliant shotmaking. Great stuff!! This match was probably the final if you know what I mean.

Davydenko played very well today. I only watched the 2nd set, but he seemed to be going to the net well, using some great drop shots, getting a couple aces at crucial moments, and getting good angles on his shots.

I think he is the favorite for the final.
