Great play by Cuevas! Almagro really impatient in the rallies. He couldn't handle the big kicker out wide..
He should be able to beat either PHM or Troicki..

Very intelligent tennis from Cuevas today. I'm liking him more and more. Still yet to drop a set, and he definetely has a shot to go the full distance here.

He played very well today
Mucho was useless, seemed to have no forward plan at all beyond moving the ball around and hoping Cuevas would self-destruct.
Cuevas can have weeks like this but the question for him is can he do it more consistently - he has the tennis to be higher than 107 but not the consistency so far.

Vamooooos :D
Great match from Pablo, he's serve is doing just great, only got broke once so far... BH beatiful as always, but his FH still needs to get powered-up a bit. Some points on second set were fantastic, S&V on second serve included
Can beat either PHM or Troiki playing like this IMO, though I rather it was Mathieu
And again... vamooooooos

Cuevas kicks ****. That it should be such a ridiculous fat **** such as Mugro's he's kicking only makes it more pleasing.

Good win again from Pablo.
Hope he can start finding the consistency to have weeks like this more often. :yeah: He reminds me of the days when claycourt tennis used to have a lot more style.

Now Cuevas is 72nd in the rankings, his best ranking ever.
He would be 55th if he beats Mathieu.
Well done for that talented and beautiful player :yeah:

About time Cuevas posted a decent result on the ATP tour.
He's been beating Dutch players in challengers for ages...

Thanks for the support :wavey:. I thought that Almagro had turned his fortunes around after beating the Toad but it turns out I was wrong.

Cuevas/Mathieu should be a great matchup. Cuevas is obviously playing very good tennis, and Mathieu is usually capable of rising to a high level.
