Sweet revenge from Newport final.:)

Not much revenge involved in this one. With Ram serving up 15-0 at 5-6 in the 1st set Rajeev reaggrivated his right calf injury. He was barely able to move after that point. He gutted it out because he was playing in front of the home crowd, but had it been any other tournament he said he would have probably stopped playing. Its too bad too because up to that point both players were playing at a very high level.

Poor Ram, probably one of the best players in the world....
In the last two weeks, of course.

Good work Querrey.

Shame for Ram but he showed a lot of heart and a lot of class, you see lots of gutless players just retiring whenever they want from losing positions so Ram should be credited. Nice win for Sam though

very unlucky with the timing of the injury. would've been interesting to see what he could've done on hardcourts playing with confidence. doesn't sound overly serious anyway.

Revenge is sweet. :yeah: Now win the title, Sammy.
