The French Open should mark end of clay season, Wimbledon the end of grass season, US Open end of hard court and Masters end of indoor season.

You can't touch RG-Wimbledon scheduling, so either there is more grass after Wimbledon or things stay as they are.

Fatigue has finally caught up with him. It has been a good 2 months for the Toad so this loss comes as no surprise.

He's played at least one shaky set in his last few matches. Finally caught up with him.

Yeah, it was asking a lot (mentally more than anything :o) for Soderling to win two titles on the bounce...but I'd have had a hard time picking which player to actually knock him out.

Didn't see the match but can't say I'm surprised about the result. Actually I didn't think he would show up in Hamburg after the win in Båstad. It would have been great if he could have recharged fully cause the draw looked so nice for him but now he will get more rest :). And of course congrats for Almagro, maybe he can get som confidence back and do something good in this tournament, the draw is wide open for him now.

Honestly though, get Robin in the top 10 and kick Novak Djokomug, Gilles Simug, Mug-mugfried Tsongmug and Fernando Mugdasco all out. No one is forced to play these events. Yet if they are staged is because players want to play them, so I guess it musn't be so terrible. Clay is the surface of Continental Europe, not a residual surface. People from outside fail to understand that so often.
