disgraceful result for stanley.

a european clay 500 where the top seed is Gilles Simon.

this is the type of event he should be winning if he wants to be considered a top player. great opportunity missed.

up and down again for waw. really he should find that consistency grove and get beyond R2 at least. perhaps he took that Wimby loss to Murray real bad - I would not be surprised if that were the case,

Didn't he pull out of Stuttgart for some reason? Maybe just shielding an injury today.

Must've been a nice display of nice backhands from both sides. Would love to see highlights of this one.

GGL was on fire, Stan made so many errors from the beginning until the end. I was really upset, maybe he needs a break.

Everybody has bad days. Including your idol who many were writing off after Australia. Stanislas will bounce back.

An unexpected and quite frankly poor and disappointing result from Wawrinka in this match. I didn't see any of it, but Wawrinka is a pretty seasoned player overall, especially on clay and I've always been under the impression that Garcia-Lopez fares better on faster surfaces.

Oh well, every player has his slip-up. I don't think Wawrinka will crumble mentally though. He's improved in that area tremendously (still has work to do on the bigger points/break points) and is as hard a worker as there is.
