Indy R1: Odesnik d. Baghdatis 7-6(5) 1-6 6-4Baghdatis#1 07-21-2009, 03:18 AM Baggy:rolleyes: He was down 2-5 in the third, made it 4-5 and then was on serve and lost that game:o MrChopin 07-21-2009, 03:22 AM Bigmacdhatis, how we miss you. kutafon 07-21-2009, 03:24 AM well done Wayno straitup 07-21-2009, 03:34 AM Baghdatis has been so bad this year :help: Well done Wayne! whattheheck 07-21-2009, 03:41 AM So sad for Marcos :( chowdahead25 07-21-2009, 04:19 AM Marcos:hug: Serenidad 07-21-2009, 04:31 AM Baghdatis, really? To Odesnik? ballbasher101 07-21-2009, 04:36 AM I don't think Baggy is fully fit. He needs to come back when he is feeling 100%. Getta 07-21-2009, 04:47 AM His fans still love him and he knows that. I don't think Baggy is fully fit. He needs to come back when he is feeling 100%. True that. chowdahead25 07-21-2009, 04:50 AM Gotta think the knee is still bad. Arkulari 07-21-2009, 05:01 AM Baggy is still injured, right? there's no other explanation for this  fast_clay 07-21-2009, 05:02 AM no... the knee looked pretty good in the final day of the dc tie... (day 1 i wondered why he was playing at all)... but by the 3rd day it wasnt 100%, but good enough to get past odesnik... just hasn't been able to sustain 4 months of the uninterrupted play required to build any momentum... its ok in davis cup, he was able to get by on emotion and patches of brilliance... any fans of the guy would be forgiving his results until the new year to be quite honest... dam0dred 07-21-2009, 05:48 AM I don't think Baggy is fully fit. He needs to come back when he is feeling 100%. Baghdatis has never been fully fit. He's perpetually overweight and therefore perpetually injured. I wonder what he could have accomplished these last 3 years if only he had been willing to make the effort to lose a few pounds get in shape. dylan24 07-21-2009, 06:03 AM Baghdatis has never been fully fit. He's perpetually overweight and therefore perpetually injured. I wonder what he could have accomplished these last 3 years if only he had been willing to make the effort to lose a few pounds get in shape. he loves food too much just like nalbandian to ever get in real good shape Vamos Feńa 07-21-2009, 09:08 AM Wayne! :D :) Venle 07-21-2009, 12:52 PM Baggy! 148th in the rankings and probably falling just more. I want him to smile wide again while returning. Maybe he loves food but Nalbandian has beaten Rog - God knows how many times. philosophicalarf 07-21-2009, 02:28 PM Baggy struggled to beat Louk Sorensen (yes, who?) in the DC match vs Ireland last week, went 5 sets. He's clearly wildly out of shape, and playing Odesnik on home soil was a pretty nasty matchup for him (Baggy has an atrocious record against lefties, one of the worst of any top player I can think of save perhaps Montanes). HattonWBA 07-21-2009, 03:53 PM Bad loss for Baggy Baghdatis#1 07-23-2009, 04:26 AM he loves food too much just like nalbandian to ever get in real good shape Some people on this board really have no idea what they're talking about:rolleyes: I'm a fan of Marcos so I obviously have some knowledge on this topic, unlike you! Anyways, Baggy has actually been dieting over the past year or so which is good, but his knee is what's bothering him, not his weight. He injured the knee before the diet, and I saw some pictures of him in Delray Beach with his shirt off, and you could see how much weight he lost. So weight is obviously not Baggy's problem;) Oh, and about the diet, he never said it's a diet, but he said he's watching his weight;) JolánGagó 07-23-2009, 08:59 AM Some people on this board really have no idea what they're talking about:rolleyes: I'm a fan of Marcos so I obviously have some knowledge on this topic, unlike you! Funniest idiotic remark of the week  unsurprising considering the source. Langers 07-23-2009, 09:04 AM Realistically, Baghdatis probably should retire. JolánGagó 07-23-2009, 09:15 AM i wish i was wrong cuz i like the guy but i see no light at the end of his tunnel, he seems to be totally derailed. | |
