Who would you pay most to watch?

As a change from all the threads about who is the GOAT and whether "A" is better than "B", how about a pure popularity contest? Which players, past or present, would you be most likely to pay money to go and watch.

They may not be among the best, or you may even love to hate them, but who offers something a bit different?

Here is my list:-

1. Ken Rosewall
2. Bjorn Borg
3. Henri Leconte
4. Mansour Bahrami
5. John McEnroe
6. Ilie Nastase
7. Yannik Noah
8. Arthur Ashe
9. Michael Chang
10. Andy Murray

I invariably ended up cheering for his opponents, but it would still be Mac  I'd pay more for a trip back in time to Edberg's matches, though.

1. Ken Rosewall-maybe
2. Bjorn Borg-had enough of pushers that moonball
3. Henri Leconte-absolutely
4. Mansour Bahrami-?
5. John McEnroe-for the temper outbursts and the feel around the net ;)
6. Ilie Nastase-another headcase to watch meltdown (absolutely)
7. Yannik Noah-One slam wonder (doubt it)
8. Arthur Ashe- of course :)
9. Michael Chang-another pusher that won a slam (never)
10. Andy Murray-overhyped pusher that plays cat and mouse with opponents better than him (absolutely not)

He's that kind of guy  Absolutely loved watching him play, but he annoyed the hell out of me (though it has to be said not in the way that some of this new generation can). It is indeed blasphemy from today's distant perspective to remember how many times I rooted for Lendl. If I somehow started watching earlier to catch more matches with Connors, something tells me it would be the opposite

This, or Guga.

That too would rank extremely high :inlove:

Actually from purely an emotionally explosive nature, the Mac-Connors rivalry was far more tense. John actually respected Lendl AND Borg. Borg far more than either.

Pancho gonzales in his prime :Would love to see throw a fit & play angry. Laver once said " we try not to get him angry".

I've been to the Aus Open and Sydney Intl a few times... have had the good fortune of seeing Graf, Hingis, Agassi, Sampras and Guga before they retired. Saw a young Federer... Haven't been since 2003 so am heading down in January and really want to see Federer again. And Murray. And... well as much tennis as I can squeeze into 3 days.

I'd love to see Agassi. I grew up watching his matches, and the day before I first went to Kooyong was Agassi's last appearance at the tournament. So considering I missed out on seeing him by a day, its a bit disappointing
