Which top 8 seed will "mug-out" first?

Firstly I am going with grass mug Del Portro followed by the under pressure homeboy pusher, Andrew Murray. An unfit Nadal will be the 3rd one to mug-out of the tournament. Discuss.

Nando, Simon and then maybe Djoker seeing his poor form lately

Rafa, before it even starts.

Simug is in the most danger of a completely expected early round exit.

In this order I think the first four to go out will be.

Simon
Verdasco
Nadal (Because of injury)
Djokovic

I hope it's Murray. That would be hilarious. :)

ESPN's "experts" picked Djokovic for another early exit. Watch him win it.

I don't trust this "injury" of Nadal's one bit. It's a bluff to take the pressure and attention off him. Couldn't see anything wrong with him against Soderling - he was just being outplayed.

As regards the question, I suspect the pusher Murray is going out early. Not enough power on his forehand to cut it on this surface and will get exposed as soon as he comes up against anyone decent. Remember the terrible beating he took from Nadal last year.

I hope hope hope it's not Nando and think that he'll pull a good performance out the bag even if it takes a couple of five setters to get to AT LEAST the fourth round. These last two weeks will come as a wake up call.

I'll pick Simon but it all depends on his draw. I hope Rafa can get it together... I think he will. And I agree he's over-emphasising the injury.

Murray won't lose before the semis.

I am surprised that some people are seriously downplaying Nando on this surface. I know he isn't that good on said surface but I do belive he won't be the first one to head home.

I agree with Tangy, it'd be fine episode if Murray the Great Brit hope mugs out in the early days.

Plenty of power on Murray's forehand when he chooses to use it aggressively. Which shot do you think he used to hit Nadal off the court in last year's US Open? It wasn't the backhand.

interesting

since Madrid the nadal camp have made one excuse or other

first it was the altitude

then it was nadal's knees

for a camp known for its humility they sure do bitch and whine alot

my guess is the only injury Nadal suffered is the one to his ego, and uncle phony is basically on damage control detail just in case nadal crashes out early at wimbledon

The paris crowd, even heard a divorce rumor or something & his supporters call federer arrogant. Its true federer is extremely arrogant but nadull fans are bias if they think federer is arrogant &nadull is humble. In reality they are both arrogant jerks, that cite injury as a reason for a loss etc.Deal with it guys injury & fatigue is part of the game just like mentality & BH.
I think its because of the pressure but I'am unsure to be honest.

Exactly. A year ago, I would have given Gulbis more of a chance. While his star is evidently on the wane, Murray's has been rising since.

Yep. If Gulbis picks up some of his 28 form, he could pose problems. He's had a horrendous year, though.

I see some struggling to deal with different opinions and predictions. Grow up will you. Nadal is most likely not going to play at all and as for Murray it will only take a bit of a tough match for him to crumble under the immense pressure of being Home favorite. I don't even like Gulbis, that billionaire punk shouldn't be even allowed to play tennis.

Why does everybody call him a pusher. Have you seen him play recently?
And he never let's pressure get to him so that's another flaw in your post and him losing to Mugbis. Mugbis is shit ATM.

But he does push alot and gets ultra-defensive when it really matters like against Verdasco in Oz - hard to beat the top players doing that.

Wont lose to Gulbis but could fall before the final which everyone expects him to be in

Simon will likely drop first out of the top 8 - though JMDP is in a spot of trouble right now.
