A grass god, this GGL.
The title is his for the taking, I've been saying it all week. :rocker2:

I wonder how GGL winning a grass title will affect the space-time continuum...

just shows what a hard draw Murray had last week in Queens having to play this guy

Guillermo Garcia-Lopez = all surface god.

he played ok TMJ. he could have served a little better. also i see very little indication that he can volley well.

that said, he is a good player.

King of underperforming favourites vs King of overperforming dogs.

Was really windy - the match was pretty good quality despite that. Two relatively flat hitting bottlemerchants you might have expected otherwise.

hes playing decent tennis GGL, hes no world beater but he has a nice game and plays with a good attitude.

a title for him here would be good.

Tipsarevic produced one of the weirdest shots I've seen in my life at the end of that third set...

Only saw a few games, and it was difficult to make a fair assessment of both players because of the wind...but this looks like a much improved version of the GGL I saw all but a year ago. Much more controlled and not nearly as laughably erratic. Certainly deserves new top 50 status, and he could go a little higher imo (#35-40).

I saw him doing it once more last year...can't remember where but to hit winner with it, this was omg...one of those shots that happen 2-3 times a year.

Tipsy looked really bothered by the wind, and it pissed him off. Caused him to play like shit.

:secret: Average players have made runs in smaller tournaments forever and will continue to do so forever, nothing has changed ;)

Definitely a good win for GGL, really no reason why he shouldn't be doing well on grass and he already has some reasonable HC results in his career.

Come on, GGL and Navarro at the same time in semi on grass tournaments was a big odds ! :p
