Blew a lead of *4-1 in the final set did Sluiter but it didn't matter.

He played pretty well, served well and hit a lot of solid returns.

With the tournament as open, he could win the tournament with the help of the home crowd.

I hope Martin Verkerk and Andrei Pavel see this result and realise what absolute retards they were when scheduling their comeback tournaments

a MM event + on your best surface + in home country = a good way to comeback

Verkerk made his comeback at Rotterdam and all of those points fit his bill one way or another.

Well done, Raemon! :bounce:
One of the kindest fellows on the tour. I'm happy for him. He sounded very happy himself as well in his post-match interview. :hatoff:

Raemon played a great match. Especially when he goes to the net.

What's so difficult in writing s'Hertogenbosch?

 Keep it going Raemon!

At this rate, he could win on Saturday and officially retire off a title, in his home country no less. Not a bad way to go.

...but if he really is trying to make a full comeback (which I still find hard to get my head around), this will give him a nice boost, and very well deserved. :yeah:

You're spelling it wrong yourself so

That's basically what I wrote apart from the hyphen and somebody started complaining.

You used to be so concerned with spelling or grammatical errors..

Why don't you guys just call it : " den Bosch " that's the common name we use for it in Holland.

And it's actually Rosmalen to be precise ;)

 Great win today !! Congrats Raemon !! :worship:

This is a really passionate player, he was never top-time-tennis, but has always had the heart for tennis, and has excelled at times. He got to a 4th round at Wimbledon once I believe... not bad!

I hope het continues his good form, although he may have it cut out for him, facing NAVARRO next...
GO RAEMON, time to surge in the charts ;) at the ATP SITE, "RETIRED" just changed to # 866 in the world, it's a start

...but if he really is trying to make a full comeback (which I still find hard to get my head around), this will give him a nice boost, and very well deserved.
There's no "if" to his comeback, he HAS decided already. I just read an article today in which he was quoted that he wanted to give it till next year's summer, so that will give him a good year to see where his game is at :)

I wish him all the best, I think it's nice for the ATP TOUR to still have a TWO-HANDED forehand/backhand player!

Ahh, it all makes so much sense now. I always thought you guys were referring to the Germans.

I always call the tourney Rosmalen, ATP should too, considering it's a lot easier for everyone

Hope Ray can win the tourney :D

It should be renamed Ordinary Open considering the annual mug factor of the semifinals.

You are referring to Sluiter vs Gimeno-Traver in R1?
