Yes, they did. They played in something like a gym hall. And I can't remember if it was a hard or carpet, but it was awful fast, balls skidding off the surface, they did not played rally longer than 3-4 shots. Nando had a MP.

Nando said during the French Open that he's going back to Las Vegas again in July, like he did in the off-season. Something doesn't seem to be totally right at the moment, so whatever it is I hope that another Las Vegas visit will give him his mojo back. These DFs in tiebreaks are definitely not down to him just being bad on grass. :(

The Notts indoor surface is insanely fast - minor miracle for anybody to get an Ivo serve back in court.

Verdasco definitely isn't useless on grass though. Last Wimbledon he beat Kohly and Berdych in straights, then went 2-0 up against Ancic, playing some terrific stuff. Of course, he then lost the next two sets and the final one 111-13 :-)
