MalwareDie 06-16-2009, 05:57 PM Excellent result. philosophicalarf 06-16-2009, 06:06 PM Aside from failing with 3sps, Verdasco also doublefaulted in the tiebreak..... immediately after getting a minibreak back. He really is regressing pretty fast. born_on_clay 06-16-2009, 06:09 PM What is wrong with Nando on grass ? jonathancrane 06-16-2009, 06:13 PM Awful Burrow 06-16-2009, 06:14 PM Good that the sore loser loses. HeretiC 06-16-2009, 06:56 PM http://www.saltcityhoops.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/empty_bandwagon.jpg Where did all the people go? Guy Haines 06-16-2009, 07:01 PM :D to Benny Becker. Nadal is the only good one. Sad isn't it? Even Guga hated the grass. Verdasco isn't a claycourter. That's a prejudice. Black Raven 06-16-2009, 09:48 PM Never in doubt. Better player won. Burrow 06-16-2009, 10:04 PM Yes he is. Wimbledon career 16–7. :o He's reached the fourth round a couple of times and the last few years he has lost to very respectable grass court players. He's not awful. Acer 06-16-2009, 10:06 PM This future of tennis is good. El Legenda 06-16-2009, 10:06 PM Verdasco seems to be very out of form right now. Verdasco is in his normal form right now, the form that is most true to him...average player. Har-Tru 06-16-2009, 10:07 PM He's reached the fourth round a couple of times and the last few years he has lost to very respectable grass court players. He's not awful. Lost to Ivo in Notthingham last year. rubbERR 06-16-2009, 10:10 PM Lost to Ivo in Notthingham last year. They played that match indoor hard because it was rainy day ;) Har-Tru 06-16-2009, 10:12 PM They played that match indoor hard because it was rainy day ;) Did they? You're pulling my leg... In any case if they did, that's the match he lost. :) Burrow 06-16-2009, 10:20 PM Lost to Ivo in Notthingham last year. And? GlennMirnyi 06-16-2009, 10:28 PM Is Benjamin Becker the new Alexander Popp? miura 06-16-2009, 10:30 PM Utterly pathetic. Har-Tru 06-16-2009, 10:35 PM And? I was trying to support your point. They played that match indoor hard because it was rainy day ;) Did they? You're pulling my leg... In any case if they did, that's the match he lost. :) Yes, they did. They played in something like a gym hall. And I can't remember if it was a hard or carpet, but it was awful fast, balls skidding off the surface, they did not played rally longer than 3-4 shots. Nando had a MP. Forehander 06-17-2009, 07:37 AM Verdasco is not out of form. He's simply shit on grass FlameOn 06-17-2009, 11:50 AM Nando said during the French Open that he's going back to Las Vegas again in July, like he did in the off-season. Something doesn't seem to be totally right at the moment, so whatever it is I hope that another Las Vegas visit will give him his mojo back. These DFs in tiebreaks are definitely not down to him just being bad on grass. :( Fuck you Simon Reed. :o Why did you have to open your big yap about Verdasco being the future? All this "bandwagon" bullshit and negative backlash is his fault. bjurra 06-17-2009, 01:58 PM Yes he is. Wimbledon career 16–7. :o that is supposed to be bad? compare that stat to other GS tournaments pre 2009. bjurra 06-17-2009, 02:02 PM Lost to Ivo in Notthingham last year. Haha, losing to Ivo on grass is supposed to prove that Verdasco is poor on grass? You are a joke! And to make things even funnier, the match wasnt even played on grass...:wavey: philosophicalarf 06-17-2009, 02:08 PM The Notts indoor surface is insanely fast - minor miracle for anybody to get an Ivo serve back in court. Verdasco definitely isn't useless on grass though. Last Wimbledon he beat Kohly and Berdych in straights, then went 2-0 up against Ancic, playing some terrific stuff. Of course, he then lost the next two sets and the final one 111-13 :-) bjurra 06-17-2009, 02:09 PM To all you mugs who claim Nando is terrible on grass: Nandos GS stats before this year: hard court: 16-11 clay: 8-5 grass: 10-6 His career stats, all tournaments: Hard 103 - 67 Clay 138 - 80 Indoor hard 24 - 22 Carpet 14 - 16 Grass 28 - 14 Sheepy 06-17-2009, 03:38 PM Congrats to Benji :hatoff: | |
