Worst possible draw for Federer or Nadal

who do they want to avoid, in the 1st round? 2nd? 3rd? 4th? Quarters? and semis?

Who would plant them nighmares in the head?

Not sure at what stage they can meet but Soderling would be a nightmare for Rafa

Nadal does not want to meet Soderling for sure. Haas is playing well so no one wants to face him early. Karlovic is always a nightmare for anyone.

Haas, Karlovic, Soderling, Baghdatis, Mahut, or Tipsarevic are nightmares on grass.

Youzhny and Ferrero are tricky unseeded opponents on these courts.

Who ever does the draw should throw Soderling into rd16 for Nadal. Another 5 setter please :D
Federer really shouldn't lose befroe the semis and if he does it would most likely be to someone unexpected

Karlovic may be an annoyance to anyone but his record in GS regardless is abysmal. Good players might not want to play him, but I doubt they'd actually be worried about losing.

Soderling took Nadal to five sets last year I think, so we already know that he's a threat to Nadal in grass too. I doubt Federer or Nadal would like Murray in their half of the draw either. Haas is also seeing unusually good form this time of the year.

All you have to do against Karlovic is to take care of your own serve. If you don't get broken, then you'll defeat Karlovic in 2 tie-breaks (as the match goes, you get more and more looks at second serves and that's all you need).

big hitters are one thing Rafa might want to avoid, namely Soderling, Gonzo, etc

The worst possible scenario I am afraid of for Roger is complacency which we all know he is oft prone to, a tough draw will help guard against that happening.

Tipsarevic could give Federer trouble. Remember their classic at the AO 2008?

Gonzo, Tsonga, Soderling or some other power hitter could be nasty for Nadal although he should beat them all if he brings his 2008 Wimbledon form. On grass you would expect Fed to make the semis. He usually schools the power hitters, sometimes loses to the defensive players but on grass he can hit them off the court.

There is a lot tricky opponents for Nadal (Soderling, Karlovic...)
Fed will reach the semis without any problems at all.
