Halle or Queens?

Which was the better tournament out of the two this time round?

Halle looks better suited to be a Masters event then Queens, but thats judging from Shitty Youtube quality videos...Queens club looks pretty small.

They are both about the same IMO. Don't deserve to be Masters Events really IMO.

Not a lot in it, both had home winners, both had some good matches and some rubbish. I would just give the edge for excitement to Halle.

I like the court at Halle better. I just like that closed in intimate atmosphere.

I like Queen's better, don't like the design of Halle for some reason =/

halle really needs to do something about its grass. it looks greyish, even in the first rounds. it's obviously got a lot to do with the roof, so wimby better learn from halle's experiences.

queens on the other hand is the most beautiful grass around, easily outdistancing wimbledon as well. so amenities-wise, i don't think there are two ways about it: halel is top notch. game-wise (and tv-wise) queens is better in my opinion.

this time i don't think either has had a great tournament: if roger AND nadal withdraw, it's quite obvious that the big dogs will be missed. would haas have won halle had roger come? highly unlikely.

Unfortunately I haven't had much coverage of the Halle tournament so Queens gets my vote this time.

Halle because of the bad bad crowd in London.

QUEENS OF COURSE...........

WHERE DO YOU THINK PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PLAY WIMBLEDON WARM UP?

GERMANY?...LOL.........that's where Federer goes for vacation before his tv appearances during Wimbledon.

Halle hands down. Much better atmosphere and a retractable roof to top it off.

Clearly Halle was the stronger tournament this year, with a killer semi-final line-up featuring Olivier Rochus.

I'd say Halle every time except for the fact to me the grass always looks inferior to Queens and seems to get destroyed much more quickly.

I like Queens and the new blue color, although the matches at Halle were much more interesting to watch this year than Queens.

Halle -- much better atmosphere and usually fields stronger grass-court players.

Halle's roof is the deal clincher.

Queens for me.

Grass at Halle is quite poor compared to Queens.

Though the crowd at Queen really could improve!

Halle for me, that roof taking around 1 minute to close is awesome

also the matches was more interesting imo and I had it live on tv and internet

 I think the grass is inferior than queens too

The Halle stadium is nice, the lineup of players was better at Queens though.

Donīt know which of them, but it would be great to have a MS on grass. Pity there are so few tournaments on the original surface tennis was born in.

Halle - great crowd supportive to ALL players, lovely intimate atmosphere, and of course the ROOF - which came in very handy this year.
I do agree on the grass... inferior quality compared to Queens.

Let's just hope the inferior quality isnīt somehow related to the roof, thinking on Wimbledon. I'm sure they patch it up frequently, but grass happens to be the only surface that is alive and craves for sunlight.

Chances are big that it indeed has something to do with the roof :scared:. The weather in Halle was really bad this year, only Saturday went through without the need of closing the roof, so not much natural sunlight for the grass this year.
