Nice choke from Kohli, he completely froze when he was serving for the match. A bit shame cause he was firmly in driver seat in the first and third set. Awful display from Haas in the first, short groundstrokes, too many problems taming pace on net, shaky approach shots. The second set was a close affair, both had half chances, but it went rightfully to a TB with Haas edging it. Tommy lost his temper at the start of the decider, Kohli seizing the moment and put himself in a winning position. And then a choke came and it all went downhill, he was over-hitting shots, wooden hands at net and Haas smartly remained calm and let him destroy himself.

He wasn't passive at all, he tried to be even more aggressive than usual, unnecessary over-hitting the ground-strokes, he ended up that game with 3 UEs long. He got tense and tried to finish points quickly.

4 from 16 for Kohly in tiebreaks this year. The only time he wins them is when the opponent chokes even more than him (that was the case vs Tursunov in Halle, exploded and lost from 5-0 up). Also took one off fellow serial TB choker Cilic in Madrid.

I saw it diferently, he came to the net twice but after very poor approch shots, waited for Haas' errors but Tommy only gave an opportunity for Kohli to miss easy volleys.

This match was played in great spirit, good advert for german tennis.
