Had a sneaking suspicion that Nole was wanting to come out today with something to prove, and despite one minor niggle, that's exactly what he did. Extremely solid, esp. on serve. Good, positive win.

When Melzer was trying to charge the net he got screwed in every possible way, lobbed, passed, you name it, but when he gave up and decided to stay on the baseline Novak started to make mistakes and let him back in the set temporary. TMJordan 06-12-2009, 05:30 PM Way to show up Jurgen. :) lamnathalie 06-12-2009, 05:32 PM Nole :yeah: Arkulari 06-12-2009, 05:33 PM never in doubt, Djoker isn't on his best form but Melzer has nothing to hurt him  MagicMilan 06-12-2009, 05:38 PM A progress from the last match is visible :yeah: Solid win and nice serving till the middle of the 2nd set, but the forehand is becoming more and more loopy :o tangerine_dream 06-12-2009, 05:42 PM Much better play from Novak today. BIGMARAT 06-12-2009, 05:57 PM Nole's grass game will peak at Wimbledon. Taped shoulder, barely escaping defeat and 5 MPs against the likes of Serra, every 5 seconds falling and slipping. You need more? miura 06-12-2009, 09:50 PM Taped shoulder, barely escaping defeat and 5 MPs against the likes of Serra, every 5 seconds falling and slipping. You need more? I know that but I didn't think it would affect his odds against a player like Melzer. Dini 06-12-2009, 10:04 PM Good recovery. :yeah: I'm anxiously awaiting the Haas Djokovic match up. HeretiC 06-12-2009, 10:18 PM I know that but I didn't think it would affect his odds against a player like Melzer. Melzer can be surprisingly good sometimes, today he was unlucky cause Djokovic passing shots were flawless. batavlada 06-12-2009, 11:43 PM WTF is problem with those shoes Adidas making.
