Roger is asked to play at the Ordina Open @ 's Hertogenbosch next week by the tournament staff.

" ORDINA OPEN INVITES ROGER FEDERER "
The Ordina Open has invited Roger Federer earlier this week. The organization of the Dutch Grasscourt tournament confirmed this news in various media on wednesday. The event in Rosmalen hopes the newly crowned Roland Garros champion considers a visit to the Netherlands now that he didn't play the warm up tournament Halle.

Federer said he was mentally drained after the festivities in Paris and therefore didn't play at Halle. Ordina Open director Marcel Hunze says the chance Federer will play at the Tournament is realistic but small.

Should he get some warm up tournament here with no big names, but have his warm up tournament?

I think Eastbourne should ask for him as they've lost Gasquet from their field and will probably lose the other two best seeded players Monfils and Stepanek

For the ATP points, it would be good as Federer has planned to play only one ATP250 tournament in the year (Doha).

Then he would get all the points.

It depends what kind of training he prefers : in competition or not.

And is Rosmalen's grass safe for the feet ? ;)

Make Fed play qualies in Rosmalen.

He gets some grass practice and JM stop whining both Halle and Rosmalen are the same points.

Why doesn't Del Potro play there by the way ?

He was semi-finalist last year and this year he has not planned any preparation tournament, I think

Verdasco is the top seed at the Ordina Open.
1 WC is still available so maybe it's possible to clinch Federer.

I thought Monfils had planned to play in Eastbourne

You're right sorry. Actually it was Ferrer and Robredo playing @ 's Hertogenbosch.
Monfils is likely to pull out of Eastbourne too though with a wrist injury.

I heard about this last night, and considering I live in the Netherlands, I'd love for him to come here. If he, for some reason, doesn't think it's a good idea, though... then yeah, end of story.

The chances of him actually coming here are tiny, anyway. :awww:

No doubt he'll play. He'd be training that week anyways, and why not just waltz to another grass title and 250 points?

there is no way Federer would play the week before a GS, no chance

They've asked him to come..

I once sent a letter to Flavio Briatore asking for a million dollars.

I don't think neither is going to have any results worth mentioning.
