Remaining Wimbledon Wildcards

2 wildcards to give who has the best chances ? :)

I think Mahut will get one if he wins one more match.

Malisse reached 3th round in Queens ? I don't think it will be enough.

Rochus is only player without direct entry left in a QF of a grasstournament, but will they give him a WC ??? I doubt it.

What do you think ?

Who can dare try to read the mind of the Wimbledon committee? I agree Mahut deserves one.

Mahut for sure, guys a legend.

Not fussed on the other one. Possibly someone random.

Hopefully Dent

Yeah, I hope that Mahut gets one as well...Wimbledon grass may be slower (than Queen's), but his game is tailor-made for the surface, and he is good to watch. I don't necessarily agree with others who say that he will 'easily' qualify, regardless...plenty of dangerous guys in a Slam qualifying draw that could cause upsets.

Don't have a preference for the other WC...although maybe Dent? Wouldn't give one to Malisse...don't think he is in particularly great shape, and if the decision is to be between these two, Dent has had the better results this year.

Dent got a WC into qualies, so it's probably that he's not getting one into the MD
I hope I'm wrong, I want Taylor in there :yeah:

I would say it's going to be two of Mahut, Malisse and Hrbaty.

Unless the committee decides to give one to a youngster like Anderson, Devvarman or Tomic.

Or a former junior winner like De Bakker or God forbid... Donna Young.

Grosjean has no chance with two retirements in two weeks.

NOOOO, not Tomic, it would be unfair not to mention a waste of a WC

Why should Mahut or Malisse get WCs now? They've lost two matches they should've won.

Eaton, Mahut

why the mahut love, its not like his careers going anywhere. hes only half decent on grass cus he can bluff his way through matches with big serving and volleying, even then hes a poor mans karlovic or llodra

Agreed on Eaton.

Don't think they will give one for Eaton, they have decided which brits get a WC and which not I think

Who is Eaton?

I vote Robert Dee

Mahut and Malisse seem reasonable. Both won 5 matches in a row at Queens before running out of gas.

If not, give them to the highest alternates. No point wasting them on Brits.

I vote giving one to Djordje Djokovic and Mariano Puerta

Eaton has a qualies Wildcard. He won't get a MD one.

One more qualies wildcard will go to the winner of Dan Smethurst and Marcus Willis.

Probably would have been Colin Fleming, but he withdrew to focus on the doubles at Queens. Oh well.

Eaton? Last I seen of him was DC against Stakhovsky and he played pretty awful. I don't think he deserves one but he might.

Agreed on Eaton.

You've been smoking some nasty weed tonight mate. :haha:

Neither Mahut, nor Malisse, were expected to win their matches today. Sure, both had a chance, on paper, but it was unlikely.

Why reward Eaton for ONE good tournament over the last 12 months? That's :bs:

Does no one listen.

EATON HAS A WILDCARD INTO THE QUALIES THEREFORE HE WILL NOT GET ONE FOR THE MAIN DRAW.

If not, give them to the highest alternates.

Yeah, it would seem fair to do that, but the only negative thing is that it would truly make me cringe if we just handed out a free pass to a Junqueira-esque player.

Wrong, they will both get one. Since last year both the losing semi-finalists also got one don't rule our Arlidge or Milton getting a chance too

Didn't realise there was two up for grabs. Good luck to them

Boggo again.

JediFed

Boggo 2x.

He'll play on three consecutive days.

Is there a rule which states that a player can only occupy one slot in the draw?

He could even draw.. himself in the first round. That would be fucking hilarious.

Eaton is British.

Malisse lost to freaking clown Ferrero - losing left and right everywhere nowadays.

Mahut played a 50-50 match, but he reached that match with some good form.

Rochus SF Halle, I think he deserves one and if this tournament was in England he would get one but now I don't think so

Malisse probably.
