He and Rusty just lost in the doubles 64 63 to Kubot and Marach . Not sure too much should be read into that - they've both had 2 doubles matches now, and with the weather forecast as it is, and having to play so late in not nice conditions today, I wonder how motivated they were to push for a win. There was no TV coverage but in the match previous the court was getting a bit uncertain underfoot and I was surprised they put that match on tonight.

his level was roughly the same in the 2nd set with the exception of game one. Seppi got his act together and Murray was passive though reasonably effective throughout the match. Fairly solid but he will get better...

Andy beats Fish pretty comfortably 75 63 - by the end of the first set he was handling the Fish serve much better passing well, and serving huge all match.

Yes I really wish the public over there didn't put so much pressure on their players. But James hasn't been playing well lately (although he did look good against Roddick until Roddick retired with the ankle injury), however, OUR Andy should be able to defeat him :D We don't want to make it 72 years :p

As long as Andy makes sure he gives James no rhythm - plenty of slices, plenty of loopy balls, keep mixing it up...he will get errors.

He needs to serve well also.

Poor guy - he said in the interview that he felt nervous today - and no wonder with the media hype machine going into full speed - and after today it will go into overdrive.

He will be nervous at Wimbledon too.

I hope this week coming his team can keep him calm and keep the media hassles from getting too much in the way, and he can tune it out and focus on himself.

I felt pretty calm throughout, I just felt he was routining his way to the win this week.

I got a bit nervous as that first set got tight at the end but once he had that under the belt, I was fine.

Congratulations Andy! Fantastic achievement! :hatoff: :worship: I've been so impressed with him all week - he played very efficiently, stepped up a gear when he needed to gain key breaks in each set, always seemed to have more in reserve if need be... great preparation and mindset for Wimbledon.
