First set terrible Sodaking, second set terrible Federer.
That's about it from this match.

Next Karlovic/Blake.

Fed ***** the toad in the first set, in the second toad upped his game and was up *4-2 after a horrible game from Roger, but Fed broke back immediately and got the job done :yeah:

the short slice to Soderling's backhand to draw him to the net worked like magic every single time

Fed's serve looks to be back (more or less).

Still the second set shits continue for Fed.

First set very good job by Fed (though it's hard to judge where his game actually stands right now, as Toad was rightout :help:-horrible), second set... Uhm. Well.

Traces of Trademark-Feddie Second Set-itis (:tape:) coming in, got broken but immediately managed to break back and refused to 'fold like a cheap tent' this time. Pfew. Very wobbly affair, that second set-level won't get him to the final, here - no way.
1st serve percentage still low but he did have a very high points on first serve-stat (89%) nevertheless.
11 Aces, not bad, but also 2 DFs. Improving - hopefully.

Anyway, a win = a win. Good luck in the next round, Rog.

awful match, so boring

Typical Fed-Soda match = waste of time to watch something so predictable. All their matches have the same pattern, Federer has built such a tremendous advantage over Soderling, would beat him even playing only slices from both wings

not very good from Fed. Fingers crossed.

I though that faster clay with lower bounce will help Federer a lot, but that second set showed that he is still prone to involuntary lapses as before. I won't be surprised if he pulls out another breakdown against tougher opponent in a tight match.

Sod is not any measure.
Fed was just two points away from losing the 2nd set.
He will no pass Blake.

Blake? :spit: Blake? r u kidding me? :spit:
Fed might suck right now but he is nowhere near Blake's level of mugness.
Ill say he might lose to Murray... but Im expecting him to get bagelled in the final by Nadal... with the cakewalk he has.

He's not as bad a Blake. This isn't Olympics (or thereabouts) relapse!

Most errors don't occur now, only pure mental issues and the occasional poor serve now. Otherwise I think he's improving again.

Fed is currently unmatched in mugness this year.

Good. Fed always sucked first round, as long as he wins in 2, no need to worry. But if he loses another 3-setter against Murray I shot him myself!

The definition of 'Predictable'; just another classic example of how long a time period it's going to be in which Roger's arse is served to him on a plate, before RG.

Mate, don't get me wrong.
As one can see from my signature, Fed is one of my favs.
But he was crappy today, quite bad in that second set.
Sod beeing ultra mug was the main reason why this match hasn't gone to the third set.
He had 4:2 and service and choked it.
Nothing that Fed played better, it's that Sod was shitting his pants from the chance of third set.

Blake? :spit: Fed might suck right

but Im expecting him to get bagelled in the final by Nadal... with the cakewalk he has.
The Roddick fans were trying to convince themselves that Federer was a horrible player since last year, to avoid the fact that Roddick accommodated Blake and Federer. And, he spent years sucking on his forgetful, chimpy girlfriends' asses.

Fed won't get pass Blake?! Seriously?! Blake will happily bend over for Roger.

As for the match, Rafa beat Soderling 6-1 6-0, I expected Roger to do the same. Would have preferred a classic Federer beat-down, but, hey, he won in the end.

Roger brainfarted in the second, he needs to keep doing what he did in the first set if he wants to get to the finals
a win is still a win though :o
