If he manages to somehow get past Davydenko, he will take a massive beating by Federer.

The top half is the easier section.

I want to see how these courts play, but Nadal-Nando already looks good in the QF, nice to see Pico get a WC as well.

Djokovic will lose to the King in the 2nd round, and a Querrey-Safin QF awaits in the 2nd quarter. Wawrinka should make the quarters as well, but the JMDP section has plenty of guys that may benefit from the 600m.

Bolelli will make it close vs. Murray but will choke when in prime position. Wawrinka in the semis over Andy.

Roddick could also make a run here to set up a QF clash with the artist formerly known as Federer.

Yes, he'll cut through Davydenko and Murray like a warm knife through butter...

Denko is playing pretty well right now, and I consider Muzza's Rome loss as a typical off-day. I think he'll surely try to do better in Madrid.

I'll first have to see whether Roger himself is anywhere near to... well, himself of past times, before making any prediction.

Murray would do well to get past either Wawrinka or Del Potro at the QF stage, given they are both more accomplished players on the surface than he is.

He should hopefully get that far though, at least.

Idiot? He managed to draw out of himself much more than his abilities and talent would allow, very good mental toughness in deciders and TBs, does that make someone an idiot? Guy should be admired for making something out of almost nothing.

Good draw for Federer, I've said this before this year... but I really struggle to see him losing before the final. Nadal has a nice first couple of rounds but could face a test in the QF if his heart's not really in it, as that is a pretty loaded group. Whoever gets through out of Wawa and Delpo will make the semifinal.

Ljubo might like this draw: quali, safin/tsonga, simon/phm. Another run for the King of Bald?

Quite like the look of Verdasco-Ferrer. Revenge for the tonking in Monte Carlo?

Wawrinka-DelPot rematch could be interesting. Not sure which of those Murray would prefer to face.

Blake is of course, the new clay GOAT. Fresh from winning Estoril he will go to Madrid and take out Fed. Maybe.

good draw for Murray

Good draw? I think it's worse than Djoker's. Djoker has not much to worry till S/F. Murray has to worry throughout. And that can make him lose even before or in S/F at least.

Now it is a good test for us. We'll see how deep can Murray advance. If he doesn't make it final, then he has to grow and learn. If he makes through the final, then he might be a force in FO.

Can't wait for the tourney to start. A juicy one!

Damn, Nadal could play Almagro, Ferrer, Verdasco and Djokovic on his way to the final.

Not that he can't beat them of course, but a few long matches in a row could leave a chance that he might be tired for his potential final.

But then again, draws are quite unpredictable.
