Shame he's a dyed dirty blond  but yes he's growing on me. Don't know if you saw but his wife made some intemperate remarks about life in England - tabloids duly frothed with indignation

Never see any Belgian football here; we have a satellite dish which picks up German TV but only a couple of Belgian ones. Is it on a subscription channel with you?

ellen_

Dirty blond or not, I think he looks fine  They wrote about him and his wife in Belgian newspapers too, and they mentioned that yes

The Pro League matches are on a subscription channel, but the cup matches are on Canvas/Sporza - which I think you might be able to watch, no?

Herdwick

If I say he looks almost angelic but full of possiblities perhaps you get my drift  :rolls:

Canvas/Sporza - I shall investigate the satellite when I get home. We get 100s of channels on it - an awful lot of them seem to be well-dodgy German porn though.

Like all major professional sports in North America, NHL has regular season and then playoffs. The top 8 teams from each conference (there are 2) will make the playoff. Regular season begins in October and ended around first week of April. Playoff is in best of 7 format so the final will be in mid June.

More questions are welcome if you're interested.

I am stuck at home because my ankle is hurting. I have a hard time going up and down the stairs in my house, let alone go shopping. And I already have a list of various things that I need to buy.

I have think about working again but I have a few problems. First, the skill I had before becoming a full time mother is totally useless today. I worked in software business and most of my clients were in oil and gas industry. There's no oil and gas industry here and my knowledge in software is totally outdated now. Second, I will only work during my son's school hours. Not a very flexible schedule for most employer. Final one, which happens recently, is there are many people looking for work to support their families and I really don't want to compete with those people only because I am bored.

Lee hun, why is your ankle giving you problems all the time? Did you suffer some nasty fracture in the past? I remember, a few years back, my ankle was swollen for god knows what reason, and the pain was unbearable.

Lee hun, why is your ankle giving you problems all the time? Did you suffer some nasty fracture in the past? I remember, a few years back, my ankle was swollen for god knows what reason, and the pain was unbearable.

It's a long history. The foremost is although I am not totally flat foot, my arch is not "arch" enough. Second, many years ago, I twisted my left ankle and knee during an outdoor skating on a frozen lagoon. Being a nice person :p, I stayed until the party was over and left with everyone else. Cold and twisted ankle and knee did not go well together. (There's a difference between icing your swollen ankle and staying outdoor under below freezing temperature) I went for physiotheraphy for a long time and absolutely no improvement. The following summer, I went to visit my cousin in Vancouver and lazied around for a whole week, my knee and ankle healed. So basically, they will be OK as long as I don't have to be on my feet for an extended time, like preparing meal in the kitchen, or long walk.

Raquel: Am I younger than you? I'm 22.

You are a magnanimous soul

Xabi is cute indeed and we would have liked him but dearest Arsene baulked at the price But Gerrard over Cesc - no no, no woman - that I cannot stomach. And Torres is a bit rat-faced for me, although I know he tickles Raquel's fancy too

I will try to be nicer to both the Scum and the SB. Perhaps stopping calling them the Scum would help but it's a bit ingrained and my friends do it too - they're from Manchester! I am working hard on the SB though Was reading up on him last week; he really does come across as a sweetie off court

I guess I look up to Gerrard too much to put him over Cesc, he is a hero for England sometimes (maybe that's why ). Regarding Torres, that's okay.. more for me.

:spit: You don't have to be nice to Man United or Tsonga, it's fine w/ me. I promise I won't take any offense. :p:nerner:

Got a big bowl of strawberries, which will be a perfect combination with the football I think. And of course with the appearance of Torres, Xabi, Arshavin and Cesc And Raine, Gerrard over Cesc is so wrong, missy But it will have to today, for me at least... He's not there though

A goal, okay. But a goal of Arshavin :fiery:

Yep, the "national" refers to Canada, where the league was started. Expanded to US, where the majority of the teams in the league are now (24 to 6 in Canada). The majority of players in the league are still Canadians, but there are players from all over the world in the NHL.

Go Pens Go! :bounce:

No go. Shutout by Marty freaking Biron! (though he's been very good this whole series as has Fleury) Pens came out so strong and had a great first period but couldn't score. It gave me a very bad feeling. I was hoping that they'd keep it going, but feared that they'd feel depressed about playing so well and not scoring and that, more importantly, Philly would be energized since they were able to weather the storm. Came out bad in the 2nd. Not a bad period as a whole, Philly got a lucky bounce. 3rd period was awful. AWFUL! :banghead: They looked like they had no belief and just wanted it to end. :o

Now going back to Philly for an afternoon game on NBC! :bigcry: Very bad since going to Philly sucks period. And the Pens have been very bad all season long in afternoon games and even worse on afternoon games on NBC. :help: They really haven't been playing all that well, either. Couple of games I felt Philly outplayed them and they still got the win. Really wanted them to wrap it up tonight because of that. Don't need to stretch this out. Now, I'm :scared: they're going to be one of those few teams that loses a series after being up 3-1. :sobbing:

Don't care about the world but my parents couldn't have children - I was adopted - so I guess my mum would really have appreciated grandchildren. Couple that with our secret wedding - we ran off and didn't tell anyone cos JP's dad would have insisted on a Catholic wedding with all the works and we weren't having that - guess she had the right to feel a bit aggrieved. She's dead now though so it''s bit late to worry about it. Anyway, enough of the Herdwick life story.

Costco (wholesale mega warehouse style store), library, normal grocery supermarket, pizza place for take out, lunch with hubby and junior (half day school today), lecture junior about why he needs to pay more attention to his homework (he missed 10 points (out of 60) from his social science project because he thought one of the task he completed worth 30 points instead of 20 points.) Finally settled down with my brand new lapdesk. (the old one was broken)

Probably just having a day out

It's really hot in Arizona at present - perhaps she's gone swimming.

Although the temperature is pretty hot in UK, it's just warm here.

My swimming pool's water is too cold. It's still very cool overnight and my pool is too big and deep. So, the water temperature is very low even after half day of sunlight. It's very dry here so with cool water temperature and under 10% relative humidity, it'll be VERY COLD for the body parts that's exposed above water because water on body surface evaporated very fast.

Only with day time temperature over 40°C and night time above 25°C would my swimming pool good enough to lounge in

That's actually more than a person working for the government gets here, I think. Except for teachers. I mean a person of your age, because a 50 year old guy should have that or more.

But I can't be sure about that, to be honest.

No, no. Not at all. It's quite cheap to study here in public universities. We pay like 900€ a year... Normally parents pay children their training... Mine do. And I do not spend them a lot of money considering that I live at my mom's house in Coimbra and rent a room to a friend (that means some money gets in) and I have a lot of meals with my grad parents.

When I start earning, it will be all for me, no debts at all. :D Just a moral debt to my parents, I guess... But their parents paid for their education as well. It's normal here, because it is not THAT expensive.. yet still difficult/impossible for a lot of parents. :awww:

Come to Hong Kong and meet me!!

If we do still talk by that time, I'd love to! :D

And there is something I didn't tell you, I pay around 900€ a year (the maximum), but that is me because my parents are teachers and considered high midle class. People whose parents earn less pay less. :)

It was really nice. My family and I went for a nice lunch in the city and then we went shopping for a bit. Came home and did some studying before watching the finale of So You Think You Can Dance Australia. Now doing some more study before bed.

You?

Ohhh Australia is in World Group II now :bounce: Exciting day in women's tennis for me. And China has drawn level with Germany :rocker2:

Belated Happy Anzac Day btw. We went to Flinders Street for the celebration when we were there two years ago. I miss Australia. I hope we can go to Melbourne again next year to visit my sister and maybe watch the Aussie Open. :D

PS: Do you know Axle Whitehead? :)

I think the most useful would be Spanish. :)

I speak Portuguese, Spanish, English and French. But my French :tape: sucks.

I do French and I love the language! I always wanted to learn German but I just started with Russian so I'll hold off on that for a little while.

Arent you a little biased? :p

I was leaning towards French. But my friend is wanting to do German cos she is going on exchange to Austria. If she does, I might just sign up and do it with her.

But I have to say, Spanish is probably the most beautiful. And the sexiest ;)

I did French when I was in high school so I think it would be easier for me to pick up. Plus I want to be able to read French Vogue :o

Why would you think that? I am not Spanish. :rolls:

I seriously think Spanish is the most useful. Because a person who speaks good spanish understands Portuguese and italian... I understood that whole video of Nole in that italian program. :p

Also, go and check, Portuguese and Spanish are two of the most spoken languages in the planet.
