I realized that in most of Nando's important matches this year, he's had to serve for pretty much all of them. In San Jose final VS Roddick he also finished the match with an ace. He's becoming incredibly great at closing out matches. :D

I was checking next tourn. thread to see if Fernando would be out of Nice and just realized that the tourn. is actualy after Madrid. :confused:

Verdasco led 5-1 and ran out of gas, he was way too tired. He needs some serious rest. All I can say that I am really proud of his great run, its been a great couple of weeks for him.

to put it bluntly nando looked like s**t today, he was completly spent! which after the last 3 weeks he has hard its not hard to see why,it wouldnt suprise me if he was already asleep somewhere in rome...actually his probably doing stuff witht he press right now...thinking about how great it would be to be asleep.
I dont even mind that he lost, he has had the best 3 weeks any player could ask for really and he deserves and good rest before RG.:D

At the beginning of the match he came late from the lockeroom and he was stretching his right leg more than usual on the warm up. By the end of the match I believe he was kind "hurt" on that leg. Really hope he didn't get a major injurie, just consequence from fatigue. Now with a nice week off for some rest he will gain his power back and be ready for Madrid and RG! Nando now just need :hug: :D

I don't think Nando is playing Nice now. In his presser, he mentions he is going to rest to get ready for Madrid and Roland Garros, and doesn't mention Nice, so I think (hopefully) he has dropped it.

Nothing yet about Nice. He says that the injury is not that serious, yesterday during the match, watching him dealing with all the odds, I felt more like it wasn't a day for a win. In days like that little things that bother get huge and all seems to go wrong. So, as long as he feels like and his team believes too, yeah just go to nice. Having a second thought I ended up thinking he should play Nice. Reasons: With Davydenko out he will be seed nº2, so Soderling probably only in a final. After a bad loss, some wins in between RG would be good for get his confidence back on track. Tennis is is pretty much all about rythim so with the early exit, maybe would be a long time with no matches before RG. Just 2 things that If I were on his team I would do: Make him watch yesterday's match, EVERYDAY, make him sleep listening the adidas ad. AND make all the spells known to AVOID J. MELZER for the 4th time! :p :lol:

Not dissing Ferrer but he only really shows more 'fight' because he can chase down more balls than Nando. Nando fights in a different way - hitting great shots. Case in point being the FH he hit against Roddick in San Jose when down 0-30 serving out the match. Right on the paint :worship:, and Roddick yelled "that's too good". :p

Still can't believe he's playing in Nice but whatever, he knows his own body.
