OUCH! Great comeback for Sam after dropping the second set. He was down 0-30 at *3-4 and 0-4 in the tb. :)

Tough one for Marcos! Losing 7 of the last 8 points.

4-0 and 1 serve left, where he had lost just 3 points in the whole 3rd set. What a terrible, terrible loss...

He'll be gutted right now I should think.

Baghdatis wasted another opportunity to win first match after saving MP. Will he be waiting for the first win so long like Blake?

If Baghdatis saved an MP, it was not in the third set

He didn't save any match point in this match. But in the tie-break was 5:6 down on serve, so it was a chance to win in those circumstances.... three points. He had in the past matches with winning sets after saving match points only to lose the decider.

stop being obssesive mate

Marcos wasted chance to win this tie-break EASY, not wasted opportunity to win first match after saving MP... it's not like Marcos cares to win match after mps

That's obvious but I'm going to write what I want, it's obvious as well.

Excellent 3rd set from both guys, little bit of a choke from Marcos in the end, though. Credits to Sam

Baghdatis has shown yet again: he will never be a real threat at a slam...a wasted talent. And, a mental midget on the court.

Perhaps, but by judging the evolutions of Marcos and Sam over the last year, it would not be unreasonable to assume that Sam should have won this match, the outsider was Marcos, even if he was better ranked than Sam earlier last year.

Here are their Ranking's Graphs since the last 12 months :

Baghdatis will never be underdog against Querrey.
