Survival match for Pics. Glad he's through. Those 2 aces - 7 DF's ratio must improve next match though.

How Melzer lost this I'll never know.

Actually it's because he's an utter fuckwit and a choking prick. Someone with his game should never lose to Ferrer indoors.

Wasn't he also a break up in the second set?

No.

He was a break down then broke back to love, then got broken to love then broke back again to love or something like that. He was 2 points from victory at 6-5 30a.

Great minds ;)

I can't even remember any more. They exchanged a hell of a lot of breaks in the 2nd set. I think Ferru kept breaking then Melzer would break back.

win over Melzer on indoor hard is a good one for Ferru. And a much easier opponent for him in R2.

allways struggling in Rotterdam, but good to see him in the second round. So far most of the big names win their matches

I could have put my house on Melzer fluffing the match serving at 5-6 to stay in it.

You couldn't make it up. :haha:

I was one of many thinking that Melzer had a genuine chance at winning this...but, of course, in the back of your mind you always know that Melzer can do just what he did today. A total fruit cake. :silly:

WD Pics. :D

I'm the mug that bet it! :p Matchup wise it was good for him. Unfortunately, never know what you'll get with him mentally.

It wasn't a bad bet mate. A bit of luck and it was ours. 3.25 on a 50/50 match.
