I did not find anything.

Either way do you think he should show up seeing that roger has a pretty good shot at his record?

I think he said he will attend the match when Roger will potentially break his record, so if he won this AO, it will be either in Wimbledon or USO, should he make the final in either.

Yeah, he was never at RG for very long each year, probably can't remember where it is after all those first round exits.

I'm sure a SFist remember pretty well where the tournament is.

MTFers have no perspective.

Sampras, in contrast, was willing to take up the topic.

He tabs four men as the greatest, in no particular order: Rod Laver, Bjorn Borg, Federer and Sampras.

"Four guys that dominated their generations more than anyone else," said the 37-year-old Sampras, who will be playing senior tournaments in Boston next month and in Mexico in March.

A little funny to see Sampras proclaim himself as one of the 'greatest'. I mean has a point but it's may be wiser not to answer such questions directly.

Pete seems to be backing away from the "If he's going to break it, I'll go." thing now.

And not staying up to watch it? I guess I get it, but I daresay his wife might be understanding if he wants to see it if it happens.

Pete doesnt need to stay up to watch it, he can Tivo it and it will be live to him when he gets up.

Roy Emerson was not at Wimbledon when Pete broke his record (although he did do a GREAT commercial that was shown right after), Pete does not need to be there for Roger if he doesn't want to be.

absolutely not true. he was for a while right after the retirement, but he's now playing on a senior circuit

Yes, in an interview on CNN he said, he'd want to be there, when the record might get broken, he joked that Australia might be a bit far, but he'd go there too if needed. Since the record won't get broken tomorrow he probably isn't bothered attending.

he said he'll come when Fed has a chance to break it - not equal

So if Roger wins tomorrow, will Pete even bother to show up at the French?

Sampras has bought a Voodoo doll. He is going to put a pin in it everytime Roger serves tomorrow. Do you think Sampras worked so hard to have Roger catch him so fast?

He and Henman can take the same flight there.

I hear Rusedski is making a comeback. Can Sampras be next? I mean he did beat Federer, Haas and lost a close on to Ginepri. He may still have a chance to take a set off Nadal on Grass, right?

you mean green clay, not a chance.
