Ouch, so much for Donna being the up and coming Young American. He got crushed by Spadea (who's been out of form for quite a while now) 6-3, 6-1 in the Carson City Challenger in US yesterday. Go Vinnie!

So what do you expect with that to be happy, to make a collective statement that he is not an amazing player or something? Thanos 01-31-2009, 01:34 AM poor young losing to a dinosaur Fee 01-31-2009, 03:13 AM Ouch, so much for Donna being the up and coming Young American. Go Vinnie! your negative obsession with Young (on two forums) is a little bit worrisome. Why do you care if he wins or loses matches? It's not taking food off your table. This was a challenger match, it's not really worthy of a GM thread. The Freak 01-31-2009, 04:12 AM And Vinny is only 47! Chang, Wilander, Becker and Nadal all had SLAMS by 19. Yeah, judge him against some of the all-time greats. The point is, he's only 19, it's idiotic to just write him off at that age. Nathaliia 01-31-2009, 06:27 AM It's his come back event, give him a break, he won 2 first matches rather comfortably  Oli Rochus lost to Berrer in Heilbronn in qfs as well, let's bash him too. leng jai 01-31-2009, 06:37 AM It's his come back event, give him a break, he won 2 first matches rather comfortably  Oli Rochus lost to Berrer in Heilbronn in qfs as well, let's bash him too. Are we going to rehash my post-Wimbledon meltdown? I'm totally over that. DartMarcus 01-31-2009, 11:01 AM Spadea is too good. Didn`t expect him to reach sf here after the disappointment at Australian Open. reece 01-31-2009, 11:35 AM Spadea is too good. Didn`t expect him to reach sf here after the disappointment at Australian Open. Thing I like about Spadea is that he just doesn't give up. After trying to qualify in Auckland and then losing in Melbourne (I was courtside for that match), he then dives straight back into the challengers. The guy has an awesome attitude. | |
