Sopot Tourney

It looks like Rafa has a good chance to go far in the tournament. So far, Marat Safin is the highest ranked player entered to play and Rafa is the 3rd highest.....vamos rafael!

I thought Rafa had pulled out of Sopot cos he's going to the Olmypics???

www.vamosrafael.com says that he's going to Sopot, then he's going to Olympics and the site is pretty darn accurate. He might decide to pull out sometime this week though??? I have no idea.

yeah...it's just that Sopot begins on Monday and the Olympics the following Sunday so if he gets to the final in Sopot could he still get to Athens? I suppose if they let him play on the second day in Athens maybe he could do both...we'll just have to wait and see!

Now that Safin is out, this has become the perfect opportunity for Rafa to win his first singles title :)

Rafa's into the semis in Sopot!!! He beat Squillari earlier today 6-3 6-4 and now plays Mantilla later today for a spot in the final!!! He's also in the doubles semis with Beto Martín! VAMOS RAFA!!!

Rafael rolls on to the finals with a 7-5 6-1 win over Mantilla. Now go and win the whole thing, Rafa! :woohoo:
